After upgrading the software of my Galaxy S5, the 'Interruption' function that was part of the initial Lollipop 5.0 OS appears to have been removed. If I don’t want to be interrupted by the phone call ringing or SMS notification sound, what can I do?

The “Interruption” function has been removed since it has been replaced by the “Do not disturb” function which provides almost same function as the “Interruption” feature that was initially added as part of the first SW release of Android OS Lollipop 5.0.

The “Do not disturb” includes almost same functions as “Interruption” but with and added “Scheduling” function. In addition, you can now access again the “Mute” function in the “Quick panel” as this too was added as a feature in the same update as the update that introduced the new “Do Not Disturb” feature.

If you do not wish to be interrupted by a phone call ringing or SMS notification sound, please activate the “Do not disturb” setting or change the sound mode to “Mute”.
