SAMSUNG Asia organizes a large-scale regional social program in South East Asia and Australia called “SAMSUNG DigitAll Hope.” The focus is on improving lives with technology, helping to bridge the digital divide. SAMSUNG places priority on respecting people and promoting mutual prosperity. Since 1995, SAMSUNG Electronics has been involved in environmental preservation, promotion of the information age, education and projects for the physically handicapped and the underprivileged.

Regional impact
SAMSUNG Asia’s program is rolled out in seven countries in the Asia-Pacific region. Australia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore will all benefit from the program. It is estimated (based on grant application submissions) that more than 200,000 youth and people with disabilities will benefit from the 2004 SAMSUNG DigitAll Hope grant winners program implementation.

Focus on technology
SAMSUNG believes that technology will be an increasingly important development tool which has the power to transform and enhance the lives of everyone; thus ensuring future economic and social prosperity.

For Singapore and Thailand, SAMSUNG is supporting programs that assist the disabled to lead richer lives through technology. For Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, Vietnam and the Philippines, SAMSUNG is supporting programs that help young people achieve their dreams through the use of technology to improve their lives and their community.
