Power Saving Modes


Power saving modes limit your device's performance to conserve battery power. Choose between Power saving mode and Ultra power saving mode. You can turn on Power saving mode manually, or set your device to go into Power saving mode automatically.

Turn On Power Saving Mode


1. From the Home screen, touch Apps 3 .

2. Touch Settings 3 .

3. Scroll to and touch Battery 3 under the System tab.

4. Touch Power saving mode.

Note: Screens and settings available may vary by wireless service provider and software version.

5. Touch the slider 3 to turn Power saving mode on 3 .

6. Touch Start power saving and choose Immediately, At 5% battery power, At 15% battery power, At 20% battery power, or At 50% battery power.

Turn On Ultra Power Saving Mode


Use Ultra power saving mode to switch your device's screen to grayscale and turn off nonessential applications so you get the maximum battery life. With Ultra power saving mode turned on, even if you're down to a 10% charge, you can receive calls and texts for up to 24 hours.*

*Based on laboratory testing. Battery power consumption depends on factors such as network configuration, wireless service provider, signal strength, operating temperature, features selected, vibrate mode, backlight settings, browser use, frequency of calls and voice, data, and other applications' usage patterns.

1. From the Home screen, touch Apps 3 .

2. Touch Settings 3 .

3. Scroll to and touch Battery 3 under the System tab.

4. Touch Ultra power saving mode.

5. Touch the slider 3 to turn Ultra power saving mode on 3 .

6. Mark the checkbox to agree to the Terms and conditions and touch AGREE.

7. The Phone, Messages, and Internet applications are automatically available in Ultra power saving mode. Touch 3 to make up to three more applications available.


Turn Off Ultra Power Saving Mode


1. From the Home screen, touch MORE.

2. Touch Turn off Ultra power saving mode.

Note: To adjust network connections, sound, and display settings in Ultra power saving mode, touch MORE > Settings.

Power Saving Tips


Your device provides options that help you conserve battery power. By customizing these options and turning off features in the background, you can use the device longer between charges:


    • Turn off the Bluetooth® feature.

    • Turn off Wi-Fi®.

    • Turn off the GPS service.

    • Turn off the mobile data connection.

    • Turn off auto-syncing of accounts.

    • Turn off the Smart features.

    • Discontinue use of Live wallpapers.

    • Decrease the backlight time (timeout settings).

    • Decrease the brightness of the display, or use Automatic brightness.

    • Turn off haptic feedback.
