While using Gear S2/S3 paired with iPhone 6S/6S+ , the connection between mobile device and Gear may be unstable and it disconnected continuously. Why is this? And, what do I do to improve this?

Compatible device lists are iPhone 5 or later based on iOS 9.0 or higher version.

In case of iPhone 6S, 6S+ upgraded to iOS 10.x version, the connection between device and Gear may be unstable due to firmware issue of iPhone itself and connection may be often disconnected.


Disconnection phenomenon can appear when iPhone device is connected simultaneously with additional

Bluetooth devices like Bluetooth headset, speaker, hands-free while iPhone is paired with Gear.


At that time, please firstly disconnect from all devices paired to iPhone including hands-free device(HFP)

then reactivate BT again after turning off the Bluetooth feature of iPhone. And, we recommend not to

connect simultaneously with additional Bluetooth devices like Bluetooth headset, speaker, hands-free

while iPhone 6S/6S+ upgraded to iOS 10.x version is paired with Gear.


Also if your iPhone 6S/6S+ had been already paired with Gear S2/S3, we recommend not to connect the

Gear with additional hands-free device as well.
