How do I reset my Galaxy Tab S3?

Last Update date : 2017.03.06

Q : On previous existing devices, to restart to device I was able to remove the rear cover and

carefully remove the battery.   However I cannot restart my device using this method since

battery for Galaxy Tab S3  is “embedded” or  within device by itself. How do I restart my Galaxy

Tab S3 if device appears to be “frozen” or not responding when I try to use the touch screen?

A : If your device freezes or hangs, you may need to close apps or turn off the device and turn it on

again. If your device is frozen and unresponsive, press and hold the Power button and the Volume

button down simultaneously for more than 7 seconds to restart it.

If after restarting the device you still find your device freezes sometimes or is sometimes unresponsive,

there are some actions you can try to help correct this symptom:

1. Create memory space
2. Check for SW updates for your device
3. Check your device in “Safe mode”
4. Perform a Factory data reset of the device.  Before performing the factory data reset, remember to
make backup copies of all important data stored in the device.

If the problem is still not resolved, visit a Samsung Service Centre.
