My Air Conditioner Won't Turn On.

Last Update date : 2012.03.13

If your air conditioner won't turn on, do the following:
Check the circuit breaker connected to the outlet you plugged the air conditioner into and make sure it is set to On.
If the breaker is on, unplug the air conditioner and plug an appliance or device of the same voltage (for example, a lamp or a radio) into the outlet and turn it on.
Important: While most air conditioners plug into normal 110 - 120 volt outlets, some plug into 220 - 240 volt outlets. Before you plug anything other than the air conditioner into the outlet, be sure that the device you are plugging in is designed for the voltage of the outlet. If you have a 220 - 240 volt outlet, you may want to use a voltage tester to test the outlet.
If the appliance or device turns on demonstrating that the outlet works, then your air conditioner is broken and needs service.
To arrange for service, contact Samsung Customer Care at 1-800-Samsung (1-800-726-7864). Have the model number of your air conditioner on hand when you call.
