What to do when water leaks from indoor split air-con

Water leakage is due to an improper drain hose condition.

[Related Symptom]

1. Water leaks from the indoor unit left or right side.

2. No water drains out from the drain hose.


Drain hose may be blocked with dust particles.

Drain hose may have pinches somewhere.

Drain Hose may be dug into the drain hole or dipped into a bucket.


If water starts dripping from indoor unit, please do the following steps.

1. Switch off the unit from MCB (Circuit  breaker.)

2. Remove the power plug from the socket.

3. Start collecting the water in a bucket till water drips.

4. Check the drain hose.

5. Drain hose may be dug into the drain hole; if yes, remove from it.

6. Drain hose may be pinched somewhere in-between; if yes, set right the pinched hose.

7. Drain hose may not be fixed in slope; if yes, please fix it in a slope position.

8. Drain hose may be blocked; if yes, clean it properly with a suction pump.

9. If every thing is OK, water is still overflowing; if yes, please make a call to Samsung Service Center.


If the drain hose is clean, then the condensed water should come out from the drain hose automatically.
