STEP 1 Washing Machine Troubleshooting: Learn to troubleshoot

This guide offers step-by-step troubleshooting advice for solving problems or issues about our Samsung product. 1. If the shipping bolts located at the back were not removed, it  causes terrible vibration and  noise.

    Check whether all shipping bolts are removed.

    There are 4 shipping bolts at the back.

    Unscrew the bolts out using the spanner which was supplied by the manufacturer. Then place the unit and level it.

    Retain the removed shipping bolts for future use.

If it still vibrates badly when it spins, proceed with the below.

2. If the installation place is covered by soft material like carpet, rug or not hard enough to support the unit, it can cause vibrations.

    Remove the carpet (or rug) and level the unit.

    If you cannot remove the carpet, try to find  another proper installation place with hard floor to support it.

If it still vibrates badly when it spins, proceed with the below.

3. If the washer still vibrate even after all the previous processes, you need to check two things.

    1) Check how much laundries were put inside.

    2) If your unit is on pedestal, check if they are coupled securely.

      If the unit exceeds its capacity, it can vibrate severely when it spins. Please check its capacity and use it properly.

If it still vibrates badly when it spins, proceed with the below.

4. If the pedestal is not coupled securely with unit, the looseness can cause vibration and noise.

    You need to couple the loose pedestal  securely again.

    Please follow the steps below.

      1. Pull the unit to open place. (need to be carried by two or more persons)

      2. Pull out the drawer by removing 2 screws on both rails.

      3. Remove 8 screws at the back.

      4. Fasten 4 bolts using 17mm socket wrench.

      5. Reassemble the drawer and back cover in reverse order.

      6. Place the unit into final installation place.

      7. Check the level. If needed, adjust pedestal legs to set.

1. Check whether the water connections are tight. If it is tightened, turn off the water tap to check the next.

2. Remove the water hose from the water tap by turning the water hose counter clockwise.

3. Check if there is a rubber washer inside and check if it is deformed or out of  position.

4. If rubber washer is not inside, please contact call center for help.   

5. If it is just deformed and not settled good, reset the washer and try to connect it again.

1. Check water source and connection status.

    1) Check if water tap is alive by turning a valve near the unit.

    2) Check if the water tap is open or not.

    3) If it is open, check if the hot valve is connected or not. If it is not connected and hot water is not available, you need to connect it even with cold water.

      ※Notice : Be careful not to switch hot and cold hoses.

    4) Run a test and check if it displays the same error or not.

If the unit still displays the same error, proceed with the following.

2. Check water hose status.

    If water hoses are bent, squeezed or kinked, water cannot flow naturally into tub. If you find such hoses, properly arrange and run a test.

1. Try to shake the unit back and forth or corner  to corner and find which front leg does not touch the floor securely.

2. Adjust the leg to level the unit.

    Release the lock nut down and turn the leg clockwise or  counterclockwise to level the unit.

    Using a level placed at the top of the unit, adjust the legs so the bubble is located at its middle.

    If it is on the center, lock up the lock nut tightly.

1. Check water pressure

Washer checks water level with programmed time limits. If it fails to meet the level, it gives a warning to the user. User should check these following items.

    For proper operation, water pressure of 20 - 120 psi is required.

    You may check the pressure. If it takes less than 70 sec to get 3 gallons of water from water tap to a basket,  then the pressure is OK.

    If the pressure is not suitable for the unit, the unit may have some troubles while using.

2. Check drainage installation.

If drain hose is installed with ‘air tight’, the drain hose makes siphon symptom to drain the water in tub naturally. Check the following.

    Check if the drain hose is laid on floor or immerged in water. If it lays on floor or immerges in water, it causes siphon symptom to drain. Please reinstall the drain hose as instructed in below diagrams.

1. Please check and make sure the detergent box is closed.

2. Check If the path is blocked or stuffed with something.

Remove the detergent box and clean inside the drawer with a brush.

Check below connection points to find the leakage.

    Water hose and water tap.

    Water hose and water inlet on unit.

    Detergent box.

    Door gasket.

    Filter case on front frame.

If you exceed proper limit amount of detergent for laundry, it causes thick suds. It would overflow into detergent drawer and also to the front door. Please use proper amount of detergent for laundry.

1. Please follow these instructions as described in diagrams to clean the filter.

    1) Clean filter and case inside with a brush.

    2) Reassemble the filter in reverse order.

    3) Run a rinse cycle for test.

If it still displays ‘ND’ error, proceed with the below.

2. Check the drain hose if it’s bent or kinked.

    Drain hose should be arranged for proper drainage.

If it still displays ‘ND’ error, proceed with the below.

3. Check blockage on drain hose.

    Check if the drain hose freezes due to low temperature. If the drain hose freezes, immerge it into hot water to be melt it.   

If your washer doesn’t drain, please contact call center for help.

1. Drain the washer by spinning cycle and open the filter lead.

2. Pull out the emergency drain tube cap and open the cap over a basin.

3. Drain the water from the tub, then open the filter cap by turning counter clock wise.

4. Clean the filter and reassemble it with reverse order.

5. Make sure the filter cap is closed tightly.

If your washer is still leaking. Please contact call center for help.
