Warranty Policy

Your SAMSUNG Warranty
SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS PHILIPPINES CORPORATION ("SAMSUNG") warrants to the original purchaser ("you") that SAMSUNG's products are free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for the period commencing upon the date of purchase and continuing for the warranty period specifies ("Warranty Period").
 
This Warranty is not valid unless you send the "Company's copy" of the warranty card duly completed to SAMSUNG Electronics Philippines Corporation (SEPCO) within 7 days of purchase for registration. Alternatively, you may register your warranty online at http://www.SAMSUNG.com/ph.
 
This warranty is valid only in respect of Samsung products purchased locally and through Samsung Authorized resellers in the Philippines with supporting documents (i.e. proof of purchase, warranty card). Otherwise, the warranty is considered invalid.
 

Limitations and Exclusions

 

Notwithstanding that the Product is within the Warranty Period, this warranty shall be invalidated and rendered void upon the following:

  • The Product serial number, IMEI number or warranty seal has been removed, erased, defaced, altered, tampered or is illegible; or
  • The Product shows evidence of commercial use; impact, shock; accident; fire, flood, earthquake, lightning, or other acts of nature; sand, liquid, or food damage; exposure to extreme thermal or environmental conditions beyond product specifications or a rapid change in such conditions; electrostatic discharge; battery or chemical corrosion; abuse, mishandling, improper installation, operation or maintenance, use of wrong electrical supply or voltage; damage during shipment to/from Samsung authorized service center; damage caused by the installation of any software, programs or applications, or use of any accessories, consumable items or peripheral equipment not provided or approved by Samsung for use with the Product; improper alteration, modification, adjustment, tampering; replacement of parts with parts not provided or approved by Samsung; or dismantling, opening, service or repair performed other than by Samsung authorized service center; or any other use contrary to the product manual.

This warranty does not cover and is not limited to:

  • Missing accessories or external parts of the Product, unless such claim is made within 3 days from the date of original retail purchase;
  • Cosmetic damage to the outer surface/finishing and external parts of the Product, including without limitation cracks, dents, or scratches on the exterior casing, screen, camera lens, buttons, and other attachments;
  • Deterioration of the Product due to normal wear and tear, including without limitation rust or stains;
  • General maintenance, password reset assistance, routine servicing and cleaning, updating/upgrading of software, installation of software or applications, product demonstration, or any other service other than repair;
  • Any other circumstance such that repair would be contradictory or not in compliance with good business practice.

 

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Samsung shall not be in any way liable for any consequential, incidental, indirect, special, or similar damages whatsoever arising from or in connection with the use, inability to use, or performance of the Product, including without limitation loss of revenue, loss of profits, loss of opportunity, loss of business, loss of goodwill, loss of reputation, failure to realize savings or other benefits, loss of use of the Product or any associated equipment, loss of or damage to other property due to the malfunction of the Product, costs of substitute equipment, loss due to downtime cost, costs of recovering, reprogramming or reproducing any program or data stored in or used with a system containing the Product, or loss, damage, corruption or compromise of data, whether due to breach of warranty, strict liability, product liability, the negligence of Samsung, or otherwise, even if Samsung is aware of the possibility of such damages. Samsung does not exclude or limit liability for personal injury or death resulting from Samsung’s negligence.

Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, you assume all risk and liability for loss, damage, or injury to you and your property and to any third parties and their property arising out of the use, misuse, or inability to use the Product not caused directly by the negligence of Samsung.

You agree and acknowledge that Samsung’s exclusions and limitations of liability are reasonable in the circumstances.

Product Warranty excludes the following

For TV and AV

1. Plastic panels, cabinets, batteries, antennae, cables & speaker wires, plastic parts & dust cover. External parts such as levers, plugs, sockets, control knobs or adapters, accessories such as batteries, etc. 

Home Appliance

1. Plastic/glass attachments such as feed valve joint, glass plate evaporator pan, ice tray, shelves, filters, valves, strainers, piping, extension pipes, etc. 

In-box accessories and external parts such as casting control.

Knobs/buttons/cables, filters and etc.

2 Home Businesses covered by the Warranty

Home businesses include non-retail applications ---micro-enterprises with fewer than five (5) employees such as sari-sari stores, online bakeshops, food market stalls, canteens, meat shops, catering businesses, fruit and vegetable stands, local delicacies, and processed meat businesses, rotisseries & Lechon stalls, ice cream production and street food vending businesses such as salted egg, fishballs, and sago.

Businesses NOT covered by the Warranty 

Retail and commercial stores that use refrigerators to operate with multiple users, including employees and customers are not covered by the warranty. These include groceries and convenience stores and medium to large-scale restaurants, cafes, and kitchens.

PC and Office

1 Cable, Remote Control, External Parts such as sockets, control buttons, plastic front and back casing or plastic folding base 

    What is NOT covered by your warranty

    1. Damage resulting from accidents, misuse, abuse, alteration, tampering, or failure of the purchaser to follow normal operating procedures outlined in the user’s manual;
    2. Defects or damage due to spillage of food or liquids or wrong usage of electrical supply & voltage;
    3. Damage, losses, defects, or malfunction as a result of fire, flood, or other acts of God also animal or insect infestations;
    4. Normal wear & tear, corrosion, rusting, or stains;
    5. Defects or damage resulting from testing, operation, maintenance, installation, service, or adjustment not furnished or approved by Samsung, including but not limited to installation of unauthorized software and unauthorized root access, both of which shall void this limited warranty;
    6. Scratches & damage to the outer surface areas and externally exposed parts that are due to normal customer use.
    7. General maintenance & routine servicing;
    8. Claims for damaged or missing parts after 7 days from the date of purchase;
    9. If any part or parts of the unit are replaced with a part or parts not supplied or approved by us or the unit has been dismantled or repaired by any person other than a Samsung authorized technician;
    10. Any equipment/product which has its serial number removed or made illegible or tampered.
    11. Use of products, equipment, systems, utilities, services, parts, supplies, accessories, applications, installation, repairs, external wiring, connectors not supplied and/or authorized by Samsung, or which damage this product or result in service problems

    How to obtain warranty service

    • Your unit and components contained therein are fully warranted by Samsung against defective material and manufacturing faults under our product warranty guide from the date of purchase.
    • To obtain warranty protection, a notice of the alleged defects must be given promptly upon discovery by presenting the alleged defective product and the warranty card or the dated proof of purchase (tax invoice/receipt) to our authorized service personnel at the time of service.
    • For ease and convenience in presenting a warranty claim or any requests for repair or service, the owner or buyer may (1) accomplish the warranty card and send the Certificate of Warranty portion to Samsung or (2) register online via www.samsung.com/ph.
    • Our decision on all questions relating to complaints as a result of defects, either workmanship or materials, shall be conclusive and you shall agree to abide by such a decision. Any unit or defective part which has been replaced shall become our property.
    •  The terms and conditions of this warranty shall be contained exclusively in this document and no other presentation of provision, either written or otherwise, regardless of the origin of the same, shall be accepted as either adding or subtracting from these terms and conditions.
    •  By submitting your unit for repair, you are deemed to have waived any claims of compensation, monetary or otherwise, which you may be entitled to and are deemed to agree to accept any compensation whatsoever, by way of additional repair or otherwise, which in our absolute discretion we may deem fit to offer. The giving of compensation under this paragraph shall be subject to the provisions in this warranty.
    • Samsung may, at Samsung’s sole option, use rebuilt, reconditioned, or new parts or components when repairing any Product or replacing Product with a rebuilt, reconditioned, or new Product.
    • In addition to the above, our service personnel reserve all rights to refuse to attend to any equipment installed in inaccessible locations or installed at places where the air is exposed to chemical fumes or workman problems found on external field piping and insulation materials.
    • Samsung reserves the right to charge a service fee for out-of-warranty repair or service of any nature and shall not be deemed liable if the conditions are not met.

    Limitation of Liability

    To the maximum extent permitted by law, and except as expressly set forth in the Warranty contained herein, SAMSUNG makes no warranty or representation and there are no conditions, express or implied, statutory or otherwise, of any kind whatsoever with respect to the product, including but not limited to the merchantability of the product or its fitness for any particular purpose or use, design, condition, quality, or performance of the product, or workmanship of the product or the components contained therein. Nothing contained in the user/instruction guide/manual shall be construed to create an express warranty of any kind whatsoever with respect to the product.

    SAMSUNG shall not be liable for any damages of any kind resulting from the purchase, use or misuse of, or inability to use the product or arising directly or indirectly from the use or loss of use of the product or from the breach of the express warranty, including incidental, special, consequential or similar damages, or loss of anticipated profits or benefits, or for damages arising from any tort (including negligence) or fault committed by SAMSUNG, its agents or employees, or for any breach of contract or for any claim brought against you by any other party.

    This limited warranty shall not extend to anyone other than the original purchaser of this product and states your exclusive remedy. If any portion of this limited warranty is held illegal or unenforceable by reason of any law, such partial illegality or unenforceability shall not affect the enforceability for the remainder of this limited warranty which you acknowledge is and will always be construed to be limited by its terms or as limited as the law permits.

    This Warranty does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer in any way. The warranty is in addition to (and does not exclude or modify in any way) any non-excludable statutory rights you may have. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or exclusions of implies or deemed conditions or warranties, so the above limitation or exclusions may not apply to you.

    Overseas Product

    The product that is not currently sold in the Philippines (such as personal carry-on, or direct purchase overseas) can be repaired with the cost if it is repairable.   

    • The repair cost will be incurred and repair time can be longer than usual.  
    • Detailed cost & estimated repair time can be confirmed at the Service Center
    • It requires verification to check if it is repairable or not.
    • Some large size parts cases(TV Panels, Refrigerator doors, etc.), or "part is not available (Such as the end of production, etc.)" cases are not repairable
    • The product that is not currently sold in your country is not repairable.    
    • If there is a severe difference, in terms of product specification, the repair is not available.     
    • It cannot be repaired if the service environment is different: such as bandwidth, voltage, etc
