Samsung smart TVs are all-in-one entertainment systems, providing easy access to fantastic apps like Netflix, YouTube, and Amazon Prime. If you're experiencing issues with an app that isn't working, whether it is crashing or isn't opening at all, there are a few different troubleshooting solutions you can try. Follow the steps below to fix the problem.

Rather than turning off your TV by placing it into standby mode, a soft reset involves turning the TV off completely before rebooting it. Just like turning a computer off and on again, this can often solve issues you may be having.

Perform a soft reset with your TV remote

Press and hold the power button on your TV remote until your TV turns itself off and then on again.

Perform a soft reset without a TV remote

Unplug your TV from the power socket and wait for 30 seconds before plugging it back in.

Once your TV has restarted, try using the app again.

Software updates are released to provide bug and security fixes for your device. If you're experiencing an issue it's a good idea to check if there is a software update available as it may solve your problem.
