      Achieving higher resolution and superior image quality in a CIS that is thin enough to fit in today’s slim mobile phone
      has long been a challenge for mobile device manufacturers. Samsung Mobile CIS uses advanced ISOCELL and pixel technologies
      to deliver richer images with higher color fidelity, regardless of lighting conditions.

      Samsung proudly presents ISOCELL, a technology that overcomes the challenge to improve image quality while pixel sizes continue to shrink.

      This unique technology effectively controls the absorption of electrons with a physical barrier between neighboring pixels. Thus it substantially increases light sensitivity, resulting in higher color fidelity even in poor lighting conditions.

      ISOCELL lets customers experience increased Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) of at least 3dB to produce high quality images with better sharpness and richness.

      Samsung can help make slim mobile cameras without compromising performance.
      An imager designed with ISOCELL can feature a widened Chief Ray Angle (CRA) leading to the reduction in thickness by 23% or 1.5mm in case of a 16 MP CMOS Image Sensor, from 6.5mm to 5.0mm. This avoids having a bulge on the camera at the back of the mobile device.

      It also has other great benefits, such as reduction in pixel size to 1.0㎛, which contributes to slim and high resolution smartphone cameras.
