This warranty covers the equipment to be free from defects in workmanship and material for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase and it is not transferable. Battery, charger and other accessories are covered for 6 months from the date of purchase. This limited warranty does Not Cover finishes and external parts such as buttons and other attachments, consumable parts and cleaning. In no event shall Samsung be liable for breach of any its obligations to the purchaser or user of the equipment for any special, incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to the loss of profit and revenues, anticipated or otherwise, loss of the equipment, damage to the equipment, any loss relating to facilities or service of capital, cost of substitute equipment, loss due to downtime cost or claims of the purchaser or users of the equipment for such damages caused by any defective equipment whether such defective equipment are warranted against or not.

This warranty is valid only in respect of Samsung products purchased locally (in Singapore) & through authorised dealers agents with supporting documents (i.e. proof of purchase, warranty card), otherwise the warranty is considered invalid.
Obtaining Warranty Service
This warranty is not valid unless you shall, within 7 days of purchase, send the "Manufacturer" portion of this warranty card duly completed to Samsung for registration. Alternatively, you can also visit www.samsung.com/sg for online registration.
To receive warranty service, you must first follow the procedures outlined in the product manual and in the online Help resources provided for problem determination, and if these procedures do not resolve the problem, you may contact Samsung at the number provided below for technical assistance and service procedures. Warranty service can only be performed by a Samsung authorized service center. Notice of the alleged defects must be given promptly upon discovery, and this warranty card must be presented with dated proof of purchase (tax invoice/receipt) to our service personnel at the time of service.
Receipt by Samsung of the product does not mean that the product will be repaired without cost to you. If Samsung determines that the repair required is not covered under this Warranty, you will be duly notified. If you authorize the repair not covered under this Warranty, you will be responsible for paying the current repair charges. Please ensure that your computer has been fully "backed-up" before attending at the Samsung authorized service centre. You are responsible for backing-up all system and applications software and data and disabling any security passwords before services are performed, removing any data before parts or products are send in for service intervention. You must also remove any options, accessories, parts, alterations and/or attachments (collectively the "Accessories") not under warranty prior to sending the product to the Samsung authorized service center.
Samsung shall not be liable for the loss or destruction of the product, accessories, programs, data, or other information stored in any parts of the product resulting from the use or service of this product, whether due to virus issues or otherwise, or to maintain the confidentiality of data stored on the product.
Limitations And Exclusions
Samsung does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation of the product. Product performance is affected by system configuration, software, applications, your data and operator control of the system, among other factors. Though the product is considered to be compatible with many systems, it is your responsibility to determine compatibility and integration of other systems.
This limited warranty applies only to hardware products manufactured by or for Samsung that can be identified by the "Samsung" trademark, trade name or logo affixed to them. It does not apply to non-Samsung hardware products or any software, even if packaged or sold with Samsung hardware.
Manufacturers, suppliers or publishers, other than Samsung, may provide their own warranties to you, but Samsung, to the extent permitted by law, provides such third-party products "as is." If applicable, software distributed by Samsung with or without the Samsung brand name (including but not limited to system software) is not covered under this limited warranty. Please refer to any licensing agreement accompanying the software for details of any purchaser rights with respect to its use. This limited warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship encountered in normal, reasonable, non-commercial use of this product, and shall not apply to the following type of exclusions:
- 1. Normal wear and tear on exterior finish;
- 2. Damage which occurs during shipment and delivery from/to Samsung authorized service center;
- 3. Disasters such as floods, fires, winds, earthquakes, lighting or other acts of God; use of the product with other products, equipment, systems, utilities, services, parts, accessories, peripherals, attachments, applications, connection not supplied or authorized by Samsung;
- 4. Service by an unauthorized service center or personnel;
- 5. Improper use, abuse, misuse or neglect;
- 6. Bundled, non-bundled and pre-installed software including the operating system and third party software, and virus infections of all kinds.
- 7. Cosmetic damages such as scratches
- 8. Accidental damages, deformity or crack on the physical areas of the product and its accessories including the LCD panel
- 9. Corrosion, rusting or stains on any parts of the product and its accessories including the LCD panel resulting from liquid/food spillage and contact;
- 10. Requests on password reset assistance;
- 11. Minor imperfections within design specifications or that do not materially alter functionality of the product;
- 12. Improper testing, operation, demonstration, maintenance, installation, adjustment or any alteration or modification of any kind;
- 13. Incorrect electrical line voltage, fluctuations and surges;
- 14. Failure to follow operating instructions, instructions for installing a user-installable part, or failure to clean, maintain, or comply with environmental instructions that are covered and prescribed in the instruction book,
- 15. Incorrect installation of hardware or software;
- 16. General product maintenance, routine servicing and onsite tuning or adjustments of the product. Samsung will exchange the product if there are 5 or above dead pixels on the LCD panel within 7 days from the date of purchase.
There are no express warranties other than those listed and described above. No warranties whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose shall apply after the express warranty periods stated above. No other express warranty or guaranty given by any person, firm or corporation with respect to this product shall be binding on Samsung. Samsung undertakes no responsibility for the quality of the product, and assumes no responsibility that the product will be fit for any particular purpose for which you may be buying the product, except as otherwise provided in this limited warranty or in applicable law.
Samsung shall not be liable for loss of revenue or profits, failure to realize savings or other benefits, or any other special, incidental or consequential damages caused by the use, misuse or inability to use the product including, but not limited to, lost profits, downtime, goodwill, damage to or replacement of equipment and property, or any costs of recovering, reprogramming, or reproducing any program or data stored in or used with a system containing the product, regardless of the legal theory on which the claim is based, and even if Samsung has been advised of the possibility of such damages. No recovery of any kind against Samsung shall be greater in amount than the purchase price of the product sold by Samsung and causing the alleged damage. Without limiting the foregoing, you assume all risk and liability for loss, damage or injury to you and your property and to others and their property arising out of the use, misuse or inability to use the product not caused directly by the negligence of Samsung. This limited warranty states your exclusive remedy.
If there is any inconsistency between this Limited Warranty to you and any other agreement or statement included with or relating to the Samsung products or services, this limited warranty shall govern. If any provision of this limited warranty is found invalid or unenforceable, it shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable and the remainder of the limited warranty shall remain valid and enforceable according to its terms.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights under law, and the provisions contained in this limited warranty are not intended to limit, modify, take away from, disclaim or exclude any mandatory warranty requirements provided by states, including certain implied warranties.
Terms To International Customers
In the event that warranty service is required on your Samsung Mobile Computer during the Limited Warranty Period, and you are located outside of the country of purchase, the local Samsung entity in the foreign countries listed below may be able to provide you with warranty service. Any warranty services rendered shall be in a manner consistent with the terms and conditions of this Limited Warranty. Warranty services performed in a foreign country, if made available, may take longer than if performed from the country of purchase.
Customers requesting warranty service outside of the country of purchase shall be responsible for delivery of the product to the nearest International Warranty Centre as advised by the local Samsung Helpline. The Customer shall be responsible for settling all customs fees associated with the transport, and the cost of delivery to the International Warranty Center. Samsung will pay return transport fees only. The method of shipment of the Samsung Product shall be at Samsung's discretion. Liability for goods in transit shall be with the shipping party.
