Wi-Fi is a Wireless Local Area Network technology that describes the generic wireless interface of mobile computing devices. Wi-Fi connections can be found in many hotels, airports and cafes.
- BLUETOOTH is a radio link standard with short working range, used for the purpose of connecting various terminals to one another on a wireless basis. Contrary to a wireless infrared connection, intervisibility between the devices is not necessary. Thus, the user could simply keep the mobile phone in a jacket pocket while it sends or receives data from the internet via a laptop.
- AMOLED is the acronym for active-matrix organic light-emitting diode, an emerging display technology for use in mobile devices like mobile phones. OLED describes a specific type of ultra thin, ultra bright display technology which doesn't require a backlight and AMOLED refers to the technology behind the addressing of pixels.
- GPS stands for Global Positioning System. It is a technology which allows the user to determine their exact location.
- GEO-TAGGING or geo-coding is a way to add geographic meta data to photos, RSS feeds, and websites. A geotag can define the longitude and latitude of the tag item, or the location place name or regional identifier
