Samsung today announced the availability of the Samsung Gear IconX in Singapore from 16 July – the first Samsung Cord-free Fitness Earbuds with advanced features and capabilities designed for consumers’ fitness needs.

    • Available in three different colours – Black, Blue, White, the Gear IconX comes in a Truly Cord-free Design, allowing users to enjoy the ease of movement. It provides a lightweight, secure and comfortable fit without the hassle of entangling wires, and will automatically power on by simply placing them in the users’ ears. The earbuds are also available in three different sizes of eartips and wingtips (S, M, L).

 

    • The Gear IconX comes with enhanced features, including Precise Tracking Technology, to provide the optimal fitness experience. The In-ear Audio Fitness Tracker allows users to track their fitness data, from speed, distance and duration to heart rate and calories burnt via S Health¹. Its dedicated Voice Guide feature also helps users to workout in a more efficient way by giving instant feedback and updates on their progress. The Gear IconX enables users to stay informed of their training status and to reach their Vigorous Intensity Zone, maximising their workout. In addition, Ambient Sound Mode keeps them safe and aware of their surroundings, even while they are plugged in.

 

    • As a standalone Built-in Music Player, users can also store their music easily on the Gear IconX with its 4GB of internal memory² that can hold up to 1,000 tracks³, and play up to 11 hours⁴ of music. Intuitive control has never been easier as users can simply tap, swipe and hold to control their playlist. The Gear IconX also comes with a case that doubles as a charger, which can power the earbuds up to 2 full charges while it’s resting.

 

    • The ultra-light Gear IconX is optimised to work with users, their fitness needs and their smartphones. It is compatible with most Android^TM smartphones⁵ and Galaxy devices⁶ running Android TM 4.4 Kit Kat with 1.5GB RAM and above via the Gear Manager app⁷. With P2i Nano Coating, the Gear IconX is also Sweat and Splash Resistant⁸, making it ideal for users’ workouts.

 

 

Local Pricing and Availability

 

The Gear IconX will be available from 16 July 2016 at the recommended retail price of $298, and it will come in colour options of Black, Blue and White. It will be available at all local telecommunication operators, major consumer electronics stores, Samsung Experience Stores, Lazada Singapore and Hachi.tech.

 

From 16 to 31 July 2016, Samsung will be holding an islandwide launch promotion for the Gear IconX and Gear Fit². Customers who purchase a Galaxy S7 4G+, S7 edge 4G+ or Note 5 4G+ will be able to enjoy $50 off their purchase of the Gear IconX or Gear Fit². The promotion will be available at local telecommunication operators, authorised retailers, Samsung Experience Stores, Lazada Singapore and Hachi.tech.

 

Samsung also announced the availability of the S strap for Gear Fit² from July 2016. Available in three colours – Black, Blue and Pink, the Gear Fit² in size S strap will be available at the recommended retail price of $298, at all local telecommunication operators, major consumer electronics stores and Samsung Experience Stores, Lazada Singapore and Hachi.tech.
