This program is designed for talented students willing to obtain the Master of Sciences (MSc) Degree in Electronics and Computer Sciences. The educational program is held at the Seoul National University (South Korea) and lasts 2 years. After graduation, the GSP-SNU student will work for Samsung Electronics in South Korea for 2 additional years.
Will I receive a job offer after my graduation from the Seoul National University?
Yes, you will. After graduation from Seoul National University the GSP-SNU student will work for 2 years at a research centre of Samsung Electronics in South Korea. This is a mandatory requirement.
What will happen if I refuse to join Samsung Electronics after completing the GSP-SNU Program? What are the terms of contract? What are the company's obligations? What are my obligations?
In case of your refusal to join Samsung Electronics after completing the GSP-SNU, you will have to reimburse the company for all your educational and living expenses (around USD 30000). According to the terms of contract, Samsung Electronics will pay for your education, provide you with a scholarship (around Won 1000000 per month, which corresponds to approximately USD 800 per month), as well as providing you with accommodation in South Korea. Your obligations are to study at "good" and "excellent" marks as well as to work at Samsung Electronics in South Korea after your graduation for 2 years.

No, these expenses are not included in the allowance.

Seoul National University has more than 30 research institutes and more than 50 faculties (professional schools).
When will the programme start? What are the preliminary dates of moving to Seoul?
The programme starts end of summer / beginning of autumn, 2013. You will be moving to South Korea around the end of August, 2013.
Is it possible to postpone the start date?
No, it is not possible.
