Ultra Slim Cycle the Nile Challenge

In February 2007 Samsung Mobile UK raised £58,720 for the UK's leading children's cancer charity CLIC Sargent when Mark Mitchinson (UK Director) and Robert Staines (National Account Manager) participated in a 200 mile sponsored cycle ride along the river Nile in Egypt. The massive success of Mark and Rob's Nile Challenge can be attributed to the charity auction dinner; the 'Ultra Slim Gala Evening', sponsored by Samsung Mobile, which was held in February and helped secure a significant share of the total funds raised. Donations from Samsung employees, customers and acquaintances totalled £6,671, made through Mark and Robert's online account: www.justgiving.com/markandrobcycle Preceding the event Querida Williams, Head of Corporate Fundraising from CLIC Sargent, commented; "It is exceptionally important to us and to the children that we help that people like Mark and Rob take the time and effort to embark on this type of challenge. We wish them all the luck in the world and are looking forward to the success of the Gala evening and the project as a whole. A huge thank you from all at CLIC Sargent for what we're sure will be an amazing show of support".
