Purpose of the Role...

This role exists to assist in the delivery of marketing insight and research to the MSCE team. This can be in the form of researching new topics, summarising key learnings from research papers on market size or customer characteristics, analysing data on sales or customer behaviour or delivering insight following an in-depth customer survey.

Reporting to the Strategy and New Products Manager, you will work and collaborate very closely with other members of the MSCE Strategy and New Products and Planning Team, and other internal as well as external stakeholders, and contribute to the identification, assessment and planning of new content and service offerings.

  • Understand Samsung’s strategic and competitive position and deliver products that are recognised as best in the industry.
  • Help collect and analyze market and consumer requirements.
  • Contribute to New Product Assessment documents, by conducting market and competitor research, articulating customer needs and value proposition, and helping build high level business case and ROI models.

Purpose of the Role...

This role exists is to increase awareness & demand of Samsung Services, developing and executing clear marketing plans to launch new services and maintain them in-life. Business Development is a dynamically changing channel at the heart of business growth. Key to its success is the accurate, real time information gathering, collating and sharing. This role will focus on the day to day planning, tracking, coordination and reporting of business development activities across the Samsung EMEA region. Overview of the Team...

The European B2C team is responsible for developing Samsung sales of consumer products coordinating with European Key Accounts ( Dixons Retail, MSH, Kesa...) and the Subsidiaries . This ranges from the commercial agreements to category business development to retail development program.

The role of the B2C team is aiming at achieving a substantially stronger position for Samsung at retail stores across Europe.

While the local subsidiaries run the day to day retail marketing in the countries, the European B2C team takes a strategic view. It coordinates a Retail Taskforce with all the Trade/ Retail Marketing managers across Europe to drive best in class retail marketing activities from the brand presentation at the shopfront (including a premiuim brand store programme), to the brand activation with a network of promoters and category management.

The team works closely with HQ Global Marketing Operations and with the local retail marketing teams throughout the region in order to get a holistic overview of the activities done by each subsidiary. It identifies pan european best practices, improvement areas and takes action accordingly.

Main Responsibilities...

As a placement student working within Samsung’s marketing department, you will be exposed to a wide range of marketing activities. You will be responsible for managing 2-3 key projects over the course of the year that will make a real difference to our business and will enable you to clearly demonstrate the return on investment that your projects have made.

You will gain direct experience in working with marketing agencies and key suppliers, developing marketing briefs and delivering campaigns which incorporate all elements of the marketing mix.
