Claiming your FREE X-Dock is simple

Terms & conditions

1. This Promotion is only open to UK residents aged 18 or over and to UK Businesses.
2. A FREE X-DOCK is available to purchasers of X22 and X65 only between the dates set out in this clause (“Qualifying Notebook”). To be eligible to claim your FREE X-DOCK you must have purchased your Qualifying Notebook (not second-hand or refurbished) between 1st March 2008 and 31st May 2008 from a retailer in the UK. This offer is only available on Qualifying Notebooks originally sourced from Samsung Electronics (UK) Ltd (you should check with your retailer for confirmation on this point).
3. The FREEX-DOCK offer is available to end-purchasers of Qualifying Notebooks only and not, for the avoidance of doubt, to any person who has purchased a Qualifying Notebook for the purposes of resale.
4. To claim your FREE X-DOCK you must by no later than 30th June 2008 (i) telephone the claims line on 0870 3503459 and provide to the operator your name, date of birth, residential address, a contact telephone number and all such other information as may reasonably be requested by the operator in order to process and verify your claim, including without limitation details of your Qualifying Notebook purchase (the claims line is normally operational from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays) and (ii) post or fax proof of your qualifying purchase (meaning a receipt or other standard proof of purchase in the event that there is no receipt proving the purchase) to the address or fax number stipulated by the operator so that it is received by 30th June 2008. Proof of purchase submitted must detail the product purchased, the retailer’s name, address and telephone number, the serial number of the product purchased, the date of the purchase and the price paid. Any claim made or proof of purchase received after 30th June 2008 will be rejected. Claimants are advised to send copies of proof of purchase as no documentation submitted will be returned. The telephone claims line is a standard (non-premium) line. Maximum call charge from a BT landline is 10p per minute. Calls from other networks may vary.
5. Only one FREE X-DOCK will be available in respect of each Qualifying Notebook purchased.
6. A FREE X-DOCK is not available on purchases where supported pricing has been provided by Samsung (meaning a discounted price which Samsung has made available to the retailer for the purpose of the retailer making a discount available to the purchaser). Check with your retailer if your purchase was price supported by Samsung prior to claiming your FREE X-DOCK.
7. The FREE X-DOCK will not be available where the claimant has cancelled his/her contract to purchase the Samsung Notebook PC, whether under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 or otherwise, cancellation including for the avoidance of doubt circumstances where the claimant has replaced the Qualifying Notebook purchased with a non-qualifying Samsung Notebook PC under the terms of sale of the retailer. In the event that any claimant cancels their contract to purchase the Qualifying Notebook then the claimant shall forthwith return the FREE X-DOCK received from the Promoter to the UK address stipulated by the Promoter. The Promoter reserves the right to take legal action against claimants who fail to return the FREE X-DOCK on cancellation of their contract to purchase
8. Offer is non-transferable and there is no cash alternative.
9. The Promoter shall not be responsible for any delay in delivery of any proof of purchase by retailers to purchasers. The Promoter shall not be responsible for any shortage of stocks of Qualifying Notebooks held by retailers.
10. The Promoter shall have the right, where necessary, to undertake all such action as is reasonable to protect itself against fraudulent or invalid claims including, without limitation, to require such further verification as to the identity and details of the claimant and/or the verification as to their Qualifying Notebook purchase before sending to the claimant a FREE X-DOCK.
11. Subject to clause 10, the FREE X-DOCK will be dispatched via first class post to the UK address of any claimant, as provided by them in their call to the claims line, within 28 days of a claim being made (as set out in clause 4 above) and receipt of proof of purchase.
12. The decision of the Promoter, acting reasonably, is final. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for claims or accompanying documentation lost, misdirected, illegible, late, mutilated or altered. Claims that do not comply with these terms and conditions may be disqualified by Promoter.
13. The Promoter shall not be liable for any disruption to this Promotion, whether due to technical problems or otherwise, which is beyond its reasonable control.
14. By entering this Promotion you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. Any breach of the terms and conditions may, at the Promoter’s discretion, result in forfeiture of the FREE X-DOCK. In the event that any claim is disqualified then the claimant shall return (at the claimant’s own cost) the FREE X-DOCK received from the Promoter and send it to the UK address stipulated by the Promoter. The Promoter reserves the right to take legal action against claimants who fail to return the FREE X-DOCK on disqualification.
15. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other Samsung promotion. If you make a claim under this promotion then you may not make a claim under any other Samsung promotion relating to your purchase of the same Qualifying Notebook.
16. Please note that for the purposes of running this Promotion we may need to collect certain personal details from you such as your name, telephone number, date of birth and address. By entering this Promotion you agree that we may store and process such personal details for the purposes of running this Promotion.
17. Instructions regarding entry contained in the advertisement form part of the terms and conditions. However in the event of any conflict, the terms contained herein shall prevail.
18. This Promotion shall be governed by English law whose courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction to deal with any disputes arising.
