Our Green Management Programme has been highly successful at focusing our own company on the need to preserve the global environment through our actions. Now we want to offer support to our customers in achieving their own Social Responsibility goals.
Recycle & dispose
One of the most popular services we offer to our customers in this area is our free process for returning and recycling used printer cartridges. The Samsung Takeback and Recycling programme (STAR) helps to remove used cartridges from the general waste stream, which would normally go to landfill.
All returned cartridges will be recycled back into useful materials, which then go on to become new products again. Any parts that cannot be recycled will be treated and disposed of in a way that causes minimal environmental impact, ensuring that the maximum value from each returned cartridge is obtained with minimum environmental impact.
Our green management initiative
This programme, which also extends to our subcontracted suppliers and local communities: focuses on a number of core areas:

- Establishing a Green partnership between Samsung, our customers and the communities we belong to
