Recycling Batteries Responsibly
The European Directive on Batteries and Accumulators aims to minimise the impact of batteries on the environment and encourage the recovery of the materials they contain. In the UK, regulations on the recycling of batteries and accumulators (rechargeable batteries) were Introduced in 2009. The Waste Batteries Regulations aim to significantly increase UK collection and recycling of used portable batteries from 3% in 2007 to 25% by 2012, rising to at least 45% in 2016.
The battery symbol on a product or on its packaging indicates that the product must not be disposed of with general household waste. Instead, it is the consumer’s responsibility to dispose of their waste batteries at a designated collection point so that they can be recycled. The separate collection and recycling of batteries at the time of dispo sal will help to conserve natural resources and ensure that they are recycled in a manner that protects human health and the environment. A comprehensive list of battery recycling centres can be obtained from: www.recycle-more.co.uk
All Samsung products that are subject to the Batteries Directive are compliant with the UK battery and accumulator Requirements. In accordance with national law, SAMSUNG Electronics (UK) Ltd is a member of an approved batteries producer compliance scheme. This scheme collects, treats and disposes of batteries on Samsung’s behalf.

Completely meets expectations: very fast and efficient.
Had this laptop nearly a month now and loving it. I was a little apprehensive of windows 8 but after a day or two playing around with it, I love it.The laptop is faultless: it is a great size, looks good, lightweight, long battery (lasts a day for me at University), quiet, doesn't get hot, very fast, touchscreen works really well.
I find it very efficient and does exactly how it is described. People may question that it only has 100GB of storage - but that is what makes it fast. To combat this I have an external hard drive which don't cost much and also use cloud programs like dropbox. I currently have 60GB free after downloading all my usual programs such as Microsoft Office, Chrome, Evernote etc. The only faults I can find is the charger connection looks quite weak so I am worried that could break one day, but I am taking care. Also some of the external sockets like aux connection and usb sockets are a little tight. At first was scared to plug in but just needed more pressure than normal. No problems real problems with this laptop at all though. I love this laptop and would thoroughly recommend it.Show more +
Fast, portable, good value
If you are after a touchscreen ultraportable this machine is hard to beat. Boots up in less than 20 secs, doesn't seem to get hot, very light, goodkeyboard, responsive touchscreen, 2 USB ports and almost silent.
Battery life seems to be good - I get through an evening without any issues & Windows is claiming 7 hours+ Comes back from sleep in about 2-3 seconds. My only issues would be the Power socket is bespoke & looks flimsy & one of the USB slots is VERY tight, though the other one is fine. Also, you only get 100GB of the 128GB SSD - so probably not a great machine if you need tons of storage, but the payback is SPEED! It does look a bit cheap as it's plastic but still seems good quality & you can't really expect a metal body for the money. I'm really liking Win 8 & the touch screen is a real bonus when you're sitting on the sofa & can't use a "proper" mouse. The ocassional stab at the screen makes life much easier.Show more +
