Olympic Winter Games
As the Worldwide Partner for Wireless Communications Equipment, Samsung helped ensure the Olympic Games ran smoothly by providing the Nagano Olympic Organising Committee (NAOC) with 13,000 wireless communication devices. These included bilingual-display mobile phones, high-speed data pagers and digital radios.
Sydney 2000
Olympic Games
Created for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, the Olympic Rendezvous@Samsung Pavilion delivered an entertaining venue for both athletes and fans. It hosted and entertained 1,081,657 visitors - including athletes, their families and members of the public - during its 16-day programme.
Salt Lake City 2002

Samsung provided 20,000 wireless telecommunication devices. These helped the 2002 Salt Lake Organising Committee keep officials, media, staff and volunteers in close contact. With daily entertainment, athlete appearances and futuristic product displays, the Olympic Rendezvous@Samsung once again engaged athletes and fans.
Athens 2004

Samsung generated publicity as the Olympic Torch Relay ran through 34 cities in 27 countries across five continents. Samsung organised promotions, recruited celebrity Torchbearers and held city celebrations. Olympic Rendezvous@Samsung helped over 80,000 people share the Olympic experience. This included athletes, spectators, officials and VIPs.
Torino 2006

Samsung gave 1,900 people a once-in-a-lifetime chance to run with the Olympic Flame. In total, 10,001 Torchbearers carried the Flame 11,300 kilometres through historic sites across Italy. The Olympic Rendezvous@Samsung site was designated by TOROC as the "Official Meeting Place for Athletes and their Families". The pavilion welcomed more than 400,000 visitors.
Beijing 2008
Olympic Games
To inspire Olympic Spirit, Samsung held concerts in cities along the Olympic Torch Relay route. After crossing 22 cities in five continents, Torchbearers crossed 113 cities in China, reaching 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities. Samsung provided 18,000 wireless communication devices to Olympic staff and journalists. These devices helped officials by providing weather forecasts, medal chart updates and Games schedules.
Vancouver 2010
