    Philip Minns
    TORCHBEARER
Macmillan has been a part of Phil's life for the last 23 years after his Mum was diagnosed with cancer in 1989. His mother, Kathleen Ann, lost her life 7 years later at 47. Phil has dedicate the majority of his spare time to volunteering and fund raising for Macmillan Cancer Support. He set himself a goal to raise £20,000 by 2016 to coincide with the twenty year anniversary of his mum's death. In January 2011 he raised £6,670 by trekking up Kilimanjaro and that October he completed Macmillan's first Jordan desert challenge to the lost city of Petra, raising £4,395. Since 2008 Phil has raised £16,606 which includes non challenge fund raising. His efforts are truly amazing.
