Samsung recruits ‘extreme unboxer’ for Galaxy S II

With the Samsung Galaxy S II hitting UK shops, Samsung is on the lookout for someone to take part in an extreme unboxing for its brand new smartphone. Boasting the best colour screen on the market thanks to its Super AMOLED Plus technology, Samsung is inviting members of the public to win a trip to the most colourful place on Earth, South Africa. The winner will get the chance to capture the colours they experience in Africa’s ‘Rainbow Nation’ and bring them back home in true to life colour through photos on their very own Galaxy S II. Whilst many places could easily make a claim to be the most colourful, Dr Nigel Fox from the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) used satellite technology which is able to detect bands of colour on the Earth. South Africa stood out as the most colourful due to its mineral rich soils and varied terrain and vegetation, colour-rich tribes and cultures. The national strips of the country’s football and rugby teams are hugely colourful and even the national flag is made up of six different colours which represent different elements of the country’s history. Anyone wanting to get involved, can apply to become a tester until 27 May 2011 by emailing galaxys2@extremeunboxer.co.uk and they will automatically be entered into a prize draw with the winner chosen around the 31 May 2011.
