Samsung Electronics today announced the launch of the Powerbot VR9000, a visionary cleaning device that provides hands-free automated floor cleaning with strong suction power and convenience thanks to the company’s advanced technologies.
The Powerbot VR9000 is an evolution in home cleaning that conquers the limitations of conventional robot vacuums and sweeps up dust just like a broom. It marks the start of a new generation in cleaning with its superior suction power, which is up to 60 times greater than conventional cleaners thanks to Samsung’s advanced Digital Inverter Technology. In addition, its enlarged brush, which covers a much wider area, ensures a more thorough clean whilst the unique CycloneForce technology reduces the risk of clogged filters to ensure the high performance lasts longer. Moreover, its upgraded scanning system, FullView Sensor™, allows speedy and smooth movement to give you thorough and efficient cleaning by cleverly avoiding obstacles thanks to a suite of sensors that minimise the blind spots.
“The Powerbot VR9000 is a great example of our relentless passion for innovation and we are excited to be evolving our premium floorcare range further at this year’s IFA,” said Robert King, Vice President of Consumer Electronics, Samsung Electronics UK & Ireland. “At Samsung, we want to develop appliances that people would be proud to have in their homes and the Powerbot VR9000 does just that, bringing together our market-leading technology with a sleek design.”
Superior Cleaning Performance
The Powerbot VR9000 offers an excellent cleaning performance with three key features helping you keep your home tidier than ever.
Firstly, Samsung’s smart Digital Inverter Technology creates suction power up to 60 times more powerful than conventional robot vacuums, for better dirt removal and tidier homes. Secondly, its enlarged drum brush covers a much wider area from corner to corner without using side brushes whilst making it less likely to get tangled-up in wires or carpet fabric. Lastly, the strong suction power will be maintained longer thanks to Samsung’s CycloneForce technology. It generates a strong centrifugal force that circulates dust particles through the inner chamber so the dirt and debris is separated from the air and sieved into the outer chamber. As a result, the Powerbot VR9000 keeps the filter clean and lessens clogging over a longer period of time.
Don't Worry About Getting Stuck
You won’t have the worry of finding your Powerbot VR9000 stuck somewhere in the home with a dead battery and your home left uncleaned, as this brand new cleaner features an upgraded, high-performance FullView Sensor™ that helps it to understand its surroundings more minutely. A suite of sensors help it to locate very narrow or small obstacles across a wide area while minimising “blind spots”. As a result, it can navigate safely around an entire room, intelligently circumventing any blocks and avoiding areas it can bump into, such as the gap between chair legs.
In addition, Easy Pass™ wheels on the wings of the Powerbot VR9000 boost its movement. The enlarged wheels, up to 105 mm diameter, and raised body, up to 15 mm, both mean it can easily overcome hurdles such as wires or door frames.
Point And Clean
Another unique feature of the Powerbot VR9000 is the Point Cleaning™ function which helps you to keep control of it more efficiently when cleaning your home. When you beam down on a certain spot with the Powerbot VR9000’s remote control, the cleaner will follow the light and clean the area that is being pointed at. It means you don’t have to move the Powerbot VR9000 manually while it is in motion, making cleaning your home an easier and more enjoyable experience.
Designed For a Better Home
The Powerbot VR9000 has a sophisticated, sleek appearance and attractive control surface. Furthermore, its innovative design delivers an exceptional cleaning performance. It is not just round, it also has a T brush at the front, just like a normal vacuum cleaner, so it cleans thoroughly from corner to corner. The transparent CycloneForce shows exactly how much dirt has been collected and can be easily separated and emptied into the dustbin.
The Powerbot VR9000 comes in two colour variants; Airborne Copper which blends twinkling gold and chic black or Deep Blue which mixes vivid blue and chic black.
Adding to the Powerbot VR9000, Samsung continues to expand its vacuum cleaner line up to turn cleaning chores into a more enjoyable experience. The Motion Sync Cordless VC8100 frees you from the hassle of having to change power sockets while cleaning, and the Motion Sync Compact VC7000 which provides the ultimate convenience in a smaller, lighter design. All new models will be showcased at IFA 2014 from September 5-10, 2014. UK availability and pricing will be announced in due course.
