SAMSUNG is focused on delivering printing devices and solutions to meet the needs of businesses of all sizes. From the world's smallest colour laser printer and the fastest A4 digital MFPs, to the first managed print service that is scalable for small offices all the way up to corporations, SAMSUNG now offers one of the industry’s widest selections of printers, MFPs and print solutions.
The company is also enhancing its customer service offering, introducing a team of consultants and upgraded service processes. Design Leadership:
By challenging the traditional “big and bulky” image of colour laser devices with sleek and stylish printers and MFPs, SAMSUNG is bring design and style to laser printers and MFPs. With these latest additions, SAMSUNG has broken its own world record for the smallest colour laser printer and MFP. The new CLP-310 colour printer series is 17 percent smaller than its predecessor, the CLP-300, while the CLX-3170 colour MFP series is 54 percent smaller than its former model, the CLX-3160. The new laser printers and MFPs also offer superb printing quality and less maintenance costs than inkjet devices.
SAMSUNG’s innovative and stylish printers have been recognised with awards from the world's three major product design competitions, IF (Germany), IDEA (US), and Reddot (Germany). By adopting a premium black gloss finish, several of SAMSUNG’s new printers and MFPs add contemporary edge to modern offices, including the ML-1640, SCX-4300, CLP-315 and the CLX-3175FN. (For specific product information, please see separate press releases).
Seamless Connectivity:
SAMSUNG now offers easy wireless connectivity for many of its products, including the ML-1630W, SCX-4500W, CLP-315W and CLX-3175W. These devices enable printing from anywhere in the office with a wireless Internet connection, removing unsightly wires and increasing flexibility for small home offices.
USB direct connectivity is also available on many of the new printers and MFPs, enabling direct scanning and printing via a USB stick – without a PC connection. The devices can also read and print image formats including TIFF, BMP, JPEG, PDF, making it simple for users to print their images, regardless of the format.
Printing Solutions:
SAMSUNG has partnered with other global leaders, such as IBM, Microsoft and EMC, to offer an enhanced line-up of printing solutions and managed services. An open architecture platform called JScribeTM was developed via an alliance with IBM and embedded in select SAMSUNG printers. Microsoft and EMC have combined their document management technology with SAMSUNG’s digital MFPs to create the document management solution, SmarThru™ Workflow. This service is a network solution for corporate data-distribution processes, permitting users to digitise and send scanned and faxed documents to multiple locations at the same time – including e-mail, fax, server message blocks and FTP sites.
A range of device management and billing solutions, such as CounThru™, Pcounter™ SyncThru™ Web Service and SyncThru™ Web Admin Service, help companies to manage printing output and remotely manage an entire fleet of printing devices. Customers can select the solutions which are relevant for their business, creating a system tailored to their requirements.
