Samsung Electronics today unveiled its portable induction hob and convection microwave oven, two new additions to its expanding line-up of space-saving kitchen appliances.

Portable Induction Hob
Samsung’s new tabletop Portable Induction Hob is the world’s first colour portable hob and is available in Capri Blue, Ruby Red, Mint Green, Stylish Black and Cream White allowing people to cook meals with ease regardless of where they are.
An iF Design Awards Winner of 2012, the portable induction hob sports a sleek, slim design and rounded shape to give it an easy grip. The hob comes equipped with an intuitive user interface, featuring a unique groove touch wheel that allows customers to draw a circle on the device to change heating levels via a tangible groove touch control.
The portable induction hob boasts a range of innovative and user friendly features to help customers with their cooking including pan detection technology, a safety system with anti-overflow functions, boost function, a safety shut-off feature, residual heat indication, a child safety lock, 15 different power levels, auto water boiling and “keep warm” functions.
Convection Microwave Oven
Samsung’s new convection microwave oven is a counter top appliance boasting a 45-litre capacity.
Customers can enjoy access to features such as SmartSense Technology, which uses humidity based sensors to detect the humidity around food surface. The microwave, then automatically adjusts the cooking power and time, so that the food cooks thoroughly whilst maintaining the moisture for great tasting result.
In addition to SmartSense, Samsung’s convection microwave oven features a ceramic square tray, which is a perfect for baking and roasting larger servings of meats and vegetables, especially when using the convection mode. “Crusty Plate” works in conjunction with the oven’s grill mode to produce crispy and delicious results for any baking or grilling.
The microwave oven’s interior is ceramic enamel making it seven times more scratch and rust resistant than any other microwave interior. Samsung is the only manufacturer that uses high quality, easy to clean ceramic enamel, which is traditionally found in standard ovens or ranges, in all of its microwave ovens. The stylish stainless steel and glass design will complete the look of your kitchen and enhance the functionality of any worktop.
