How It Works

Samsung offered up to £100 cash back on purchases of qualifying Samsung Notebooks, Displays, Chromebooks, Tablets, Printers and SSDs between the period of 1st August 2012 and 31st October 2012. If you purchased a qualifying product from a qualifying retailer during that period you were eligible to claim, and can read more on the tabs provided.

Samsung are now offering NEW Tablet offers on qualifying purchases made from 1st November 2012. Please note the claim period for all purchases of the Tablets from the NEW offers must be made within 15 - 60 days from the date of purchase.

To participate, just follow these simple steps:

STEP 1
Purchase a Samsung product that qualifies for this offer, from a qualifying retailer.
STEP 2
Complete the claim form either online or on one of the paper formats.
STEP 3
Online Claims: complete the online form; upload a copy of the receipt/invoice for your new Samsung purchase. We must receive your claim between 30 - 45 days from the purchase date on your receipt or invoice.
STEP 4
Paper Claims: complete the form, and post along with your proof of purchase. We must receive all documentation within 30 - 45 days of the date on your receipt/invoice.
STEP 5
We will send your cashback in one of two ways as follows:-

If you submitted your claim online you will receive your cashback back via bank transfer within 45 days of your claim being validated.

If you completed a paper claim and then posted us your form and proof of purchase we will pay your cashback via a posted cheque within 45 days of your claim being validated*

FAQ's

Q. It is after 31st October, can I still purchase qualifying models to claim cash back?

A: As of 1st November, Samsung are offering NEW Tablet offers, for full details, terms and conditions and ways to claim, visit www.samsung.com/uk/tab2cashback.

Q. I have purchased a tablet after 30th September, can I still claim cashback?

A. As long as it is a qualifying model; you can, as the tablet cashback has been extended. Check the terms and conditions for latest dates.

Q. My product isn't listed as a "qualifying product" can I still claim the cashback?

A. Only products listed as a "qualifying product" and purchased from a qualifying retailer are eligible for a cashback claim.

Q. I have purchased a qualifying product but I do not have a receipt or invoice, can I still claim?

A. Unfortunately not, you need to provide a valid receipt or invoice as proof of purchase. If your purchase was made from Sainsbury's we will accept a copy of your delivery note.

Q. How many times can I participate in the Samsung Back To College promotion?

A. You may claim up to a maximum of ten (10) units per customer during the qualifying dates of the promotion.

Q. Do I need to send back my original proof of purchase?

A. No, we will accept a photo copy, which must be legible, of your proof of purchase.

Q. How long will my cashback payment take to arrive in my account?

A. Typically payments are made within 45 days of a claim being validated. You will receive email confirmation when your claim has been validated. If you made your cashback claim via the paper form, you will receive a cheque via post which will be posted within 45 days of claim validation.

Samsung Back to College Terms and Conditions

The Promoter: Samsung Electronics (UK) Limited. Samsung is using a third party service provider, Opia Limited, to operate this promotion.

By participating in this promotion, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

  1. The Samsung Back to College Cashback promotion is valid on the purchase of a brand new (i.e. not second hand or refurbished) qualifying products from a qualifying retailer (see point 6 below) by an end-user during the promotional period (see point 3 below).
  2. Qualifying Display purchases must be made from 00.01 on the 1st of August 2012 to 23.59 on the 30th of September 2012 (inclusive). Qualifying Notebook, Print and SSD purchases must be made from 00.01 on the 15th of August 2012 to 23.59 on the 30th of September 2012 (inclusive). The claim window will close at 23.59 on the 14th of November 2012 for these products, all claims received after this date will be marked invalid. Qualifying Chromebook purchases must be made from 00.01 on the 15th of August 2012 to 23.59 on the 31st of October 2012 (inclusive). The claim window for Chromebooks will close at 23.59 on the 15th of December 2012, all claims received after this date will be marked invalid.   3. Claims must be made within 30 - 45 days from the date of purchase, for the avoidance of doubt the date of purchase on the invoice or receipt counts as day 1. Claims received outside this period will be marked as invalid and will not be entered into the promotion.

Claiming Online

  1. To take advantage of the promotion visit www.samsung.com/uk/student and fill out the online claim form. The participant must provide an invoice or receipt number and serial number from your new product. You must then upload a copy of your proof of purchase.
  2. Once the claim has been submitted online, you will receive email confirmation of receipt.

Claiming Via Post

  1. Certain retailers may provide a Paper Claim form to be completed, please complete all sections in capital letters.
  2. Post your completed claim form and proof of purchase to: Samsung Back to College Cashback, PO Box 487, Gateshead, NE8 9BQ.
  3. Posted documentation from Paper Claims must be received within 30 - 45 days of the date of purchase as indicated on your invoice or receipt. The day you purchased counts as day 1. Claims received after 45 days from purchase will be marked as invalid and will not be entered into the promotion.
  4. We recommend using an insured postal service as The Promoter will not accept responsibility for submissions and associated documentation which have been lost, or are late, damaged, misdirected, delayed in the post or insufficiently pre-stamped. Proof of posting will not be accepted as proof of delivery. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify incomplete, altered or illegible claims.

General Provisions

  1. In order for your claim to be successfully validated the proof of purchase must:
    1. Be either an invoice, receipt or order notification. Delivery notes are not accepted.
    2. Indicate the name of the store that you made the purchase.
    3. Indicate the product that you have purchased.
    4. If your proof of purchase is deemed not to meet the conditions above you will be notified via email and offered the opportunity to provide the required items within seven (7) days. If the participant still fails to comply with the terms and conditions, the claim for cashback will be marked as invalid.
  2. Once the required documents have been received, the participant will receive confirmation of receipt by email stating whether or not the claim for cashback has been successful. It is the claimant's responsibility to contact the agent using the email address above within fourteen days of their claim being posted if an email acknowledgement has not been received.
  3. The cashback will only be validated and paid if the individual or company named on the proof of purchase supplied matches the bank account details provided. Failure to provide matching details will result in email notification offering the opportunity to provide the required details within 7 days. If the participant still fails to comply with the terms and conditions, the claim for cashback will be marked as invalid.
  4. Typically payments of cashback are made or posted within 45 days of the claim being received and validated. Online Claims will be paid via a BACS transfer, Paper Claims will be paid via cheque.
  5. Claims from the United Kingdom will be paid in Pounds Stirling; claims from the Republic Of Ireland will be paid in Euro.
  6. Claims must be submitted by the end user customer only. Resellers may not submit claims on behalf of their customers. This offer is not open to employees of Samsung, their agents, wholesalers, resellers, retail staff, retailers, participating stockists or anyone connected with the promotion.
  7. There is a maximum of 10 units per customer during the promotional period. Business customers who have received special pricing including bid pricing from qualifying retailers are not eligible for this promotion.
  8. Claims for products purchased which will be resold or rented to a third party are ineligible for this promotion.
  9. All instructions on the website form part of these terms and conditions. The cashback will only be paid upon satisfaction by the participant of these terms and conditions. By completing the claim process participants confirm their acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  10. Return of a qualifying Samsung product to the seller following submission of the claim for the cashback will disentitle the participant to the cashback.
  11. In the event of a product failing or being replaced during the cashback claim period and if the cashback claim has not been paid out, the original claim will be voided and you will need to resubmit your claim accordingly against your replacement order. If either product is returned after the cashback claim has been accepted and paid, The Promoter shall be entitled to recover the cashback amount from the participant.
  12. The Promoter is not responsible or liable for any technical, hardware, software, server, website, or other failures or damage of any kind to the extent that this prevents the participant from or otherwise obstructs him/her in participating in the promotion.
  13. Samsung reserves the right to audit all requests to ensure that the terms and conditions of the promotion have been met and to request additional information regarding any and all claims and supporting documents.
  14. All documentation submitted for this promotion becomes property of Samsung and will not, and cannot be returned. Please ensure that you make a copy of your invoice or receipt as this will not be returned. Submission of false, incorrect, misleading or fraudulent documentation may result in disqualification from this promotion as well as future Samsung promotions and may result in the submitter being subject to prosecution.
  15. The decisions of The Promoter in respect of any and all aspects of the promotion will be final and binding.
  16. Samsung reserves the right to amend or cancel the terms of this offer without notice.
