How do I access or change my voicemail?

Voicemail

Voicemail is a service provided by your network operator or carrier. Voicemail details and numbers usually differ from operator to operator

How do I access voicemail?

If you have a new voicemail, you will see a notification at the top of your device. If you pull down the notification menu, you will be able to tap it to dial your voicemail.

You may also be able to access it by pressing and holding 1 in the Phone app which is the default speed dial setting for voicemail on Samsung devices.

How do I find my voicemail number?

Whether you have a contract or are pay-as-you-go, you will usually need to set up your voicemail using the details provided by your network operator when you receive the device. If you received your device as part of the contract or an upgrade, voicemail may be set up already.

If voicemail is set up on your device, you will be able to find the number here:

1 Tap Phone
2 Tap More (this may appear as three dots)
3 On some devices you may need to select Call or Contacts. If you see this, select Call
4 Select Voicemail Settings (you may need to scroll down a little)
5 This should show you your voicemail number.

If you do not have a number you may need to set it up. You will need to contact your network or carrier for details as these differ by network and is not operated by Samsung. This information should have been provided when you took out your contract or bought your pay-as-you-go SIM, but will also be available on your operator's website.

Can I change how long my phone rings before a call is sent to voicemail?

Your network operator sets the length of time your phone rings before it is forwarded to voicemail.  It is usually possible to change the duration of your phone's ringing by entering a special code on your phone

This code is set by network operators and not by Samsung, and differs by operator. Most operators will have this information on their website

How do I change my voicemail message?

You change your voicemail message by dialing your voicemail and choosing from one of the keypad options e.g. the option may say "Press 4 to change your message". Note that the keypad number will change according to your mobile network operator.

Note that voicemail is not provided by manufacturers. If you are having difficulty with your voicemail, we recommend contacting your mobile network operator.
