How do I change the language and keyboard used on my Samsung Galaxy Note 4?

Note: Samsung smartphones and tablets are manufactured with a selection of languages specific to the locale in which

they were made to be sold. If the language you want isn't available you may be able to find an app in the Google Play

store that can install it to your device.

Language

You can change the system language of your device to one of the following languages: English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Korean, and Chinese. System languages are limited to languages preinstalled on the device.

 

To change the language on your device, from the Home screen touch Apps Apps Icon > Settings Icon Settings > Language and input Settings Language Icon > Language.

Languages Settings

Keyboard Language

You can add input languages to supported keyboards, which will not affect the system language.

  1. Touch Apps Apps Icon > Settings Icon Settings > Language and input Settings Language Icon > Language.
  2. Touch Icon Settings next to Samsung keyboard.
  3. Touch Select input languages.
  4. Touch OK to update the language list from the server or touch Later to skip the update.
  5. Place a check mark next to the languages you would like to be available on the Samsung keyboard. Touch a language under the AVAILABLE LANGUAGES list to download it to your device.
    Input Languages

    Note: If you select more than one language you can quickly switch between languages by swiping your finger across the space bar.

Swype

  1. Touch Apps Apps Icon > Settings Icon Settings > Language and input Settings Language Icon > Language.
  2. Touch Settings Icon next to Swype to customize the following keyboard settings.
  3. Touch Languages.

  4. Change your current language, download additional languages or choose from recently used languages.
