How do I share my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 screen using Screen Mirroring?

The Screen Mirroring feature lets you wirelessly beam your photos, videos, presentations and even your video games to your big screen. You can connect to any HDTV using the AllShare Cast Wireless Hub or Samsung HomeSync. You can also connect directly to a supported Samsung Smart TV.

 

Smart TV

You will be able to connect directly to select Samsung Smart TVs released in 2013.

1 On your Smart TV's remote control press Input and select Screen mirroring on the TV's display.
2 On your Galaxy Note 3 touch Menu > Settings > Connections > Screen Mirroring.
3 Touch the slider to switch the feature ON.
4 Select your Smart TV from the available list.
5 Your device will now be connected and your screen will be shared automatically.

When you have made a successful connection, the screen mirroring icon will display at the top of the screen in the notifications area.

 

Allshare Cast Wireless Hub

The AllShare Cast Wireless Hub lets you connect to any HDTV to share your screen. To connect the AllShare Cast Wireless Hub to your HDTV follow the steps outlined below:

1 Connect the travel charger to the power socket on the AllShare Cast Wireless Hub. The status indicator will turn red after approximately three to four seconds.
2 Connect an HDMI cable to the AllShare Cast Wireless Hub and to an HDTV.
3 Change the source input on your HDTV to match the input port being used by the HDMI cable.
4 When the status indicator begins to blink red (which can take up to 30 seconds) press the Reset button. The status indicator should now appear blue.
5 On the Galaxy Note 3 touch Menu > Settings > Connections > Screen Mirroring.
6 Touch the slider to switch the feature ON.
7 Select the AllShare Cast Wireless Hub from the list. The name will appear on your HDTV.

8 Your device will now be connected and your screen will be shared automatically.

When you have made a successful connection, the screen mirroring icon will display at the top of the screen in the notifications area.

Note: only one device can be paired and in use at a time with the hub. To connect another device to the AllShare Cast Wireless Hub press and hold the Reset button until the status indicator turns red and then repeat the steps above.

Samsung HomeSync

You can turn on the HomeSync device's screen mirroring feature by opening the HomeSync app (which is available from the Samsung Apps store) on your Galaxy Note 3. Touch Menu > Screen Mirroring.  Your device's screen will now display on the TV/monitor. 

To disconnect from Screen Mirroring simply open the Notification Panel on your Galaxy Note 3 and touch Screen mirroring is enabled. To end the connection and turn Screen Mirroring off touch End connection or touch the slider to switch to the OFF position and deactivate the feature.

 

From a device without the HomeSync App

You can use the Screen Mirroring feature with devices that do not have the HomeSync app installed.  On the HomeSync device open Apps > Screen Mirroring.  Your HomeSync device will display instructions for activating Screen Mirroring on your Samsung device. Activate Screen Mirroring on your Galaxy Note 3 and select your HomeSync device from the list of available devices. Your HomeSync device's name will appear at the bottom of the instructions displayed on your HDTV or monitor.
