I save my photos on to a DVD disc as JPEGS so that I can either view them in HD on the television, or on the computer. I was recommended at the shop that the BD E 5300 blue ray & DVD player would allow me to do this. Indeed the manual confirms that JPEG is supported however, when put the disc in, the player reads the disc ok and shows the thumbnails of the pictures, but then when I start the slideshow, I get 'FILE NOT SUPPORTED' message to each picture as it runs through. I have tried compressing to small files, but no difference. Please help as i'm about to take it back to the shop.

I have a Samsung BD E5300 Blu Ray player and I wish to watch the films I have purchased when I go on holiday on a laptop via a USB stick. Is this possible and if so how?

Hi, I'm afraid that would not be posssible as the films and USB are coded to your Blu-ray. These will not be able to play on other devices. Hope this helps.

I have a Samsung BD-E5300/XU and have noticed a problem when trying to watch some videos on youTUBE. (My connection is via CAT5 cable to a WiFi router using ADSL2+ at 20Mbps minimum and OpenDNS.) One example is if I search for a TV series called "Friday Night Dinner" and click on the youTUBE playlist. Instead of being able to watch the video I get a message on my TV with "This video is unavailable, the next one starts in 5s...". Then it goes to the next and carries on until the end of the playlist. If I select just one video to watch I get the same message. I tried creating my own playlist on youtube and it does the same thing. It's driving me mad! The advert and box said I could use the Blu-Ray Player to watch youTUBE videos and that's what I want to do. On the videos I can watch, the HD quality is very good on a large TV. I first thought it was because I hadn't signed in via the BluRay Player so tried that. A message popped up on my laptop asking for a code that was showing on my TV. I entered that on the computer and the problem continued. So far I have asked youTUBE and they say it's for Samsung to sort out and will not help. I asked in Currys and they wouldn't set one up for me to demonstrate or allow me to do so with mine - and wouldn't discuss it further. If the advert and box said, "only plays selected youtube videos" I would have got a different make. So I am wondering what I can do next. There are a number of other videos from TV channels in the UK that I can't watch, but can do if I use my laptop computer. Any help Samsung? Or anyone else that has solved the problem.

Purchased today a Samsung Blu ray BD-E5300. I have successfully installed AllShare on my PC and can see my pc on the tv via the bluray. Cannot work out how to see Lovefilm content on my TV, via APP?. Lovefilm's instructions & manual instructions get me nowhere. Any help?
