How many RAM in Galaxy Note? I checked Samsung website, but not mentioned.. I got the brochure in Malaysia, two Tel-cos running road show the for Galaxy Note on 11-Nov-2011. In the brochure, it shows that the RAM is 8GB RAM? Is it true? Thanks.

HEY! Guys. You have to include the 200mb of RAm allocated to the GPU. Graphics are integrated and share system memory. 200mb + 800MB is 1gb... (give or take) LOTSA RAM. My question, is what type of RAM? DDR?? or is there such a distenction in smart phones? What is the speed of the RAM i guess i'm asking. ROb

1GB of RAM! Have you ever had a smartphone? Some amount of ram is used by system.

Unfortunately .. it has only 800 RAM. I found my self fooled with this "Note", and I wish only I have the chance again and not buying this unit!

i am pretty sure its 1GB , i found out this on a popular Uk phone shop site, the 8GB you found was probably the hard memory used to store files on like music, games etc...

    MY CARRIER IS T-MOBILE

    Describe the issue

    Answers

    SuperSteve 2 years ago

On T-Mobile the best data speed will be slow EDGE, due to the fact it does not support the 1700mhz GSM frequency. On ATT, it will run great on 3G, and HSPS+ since it has the compatible frequencies.

further to my earlier reply...(Outlook 2007) I have discovered the source of the problems described, and the solution. Right-click on the Kies application launch icon (shortcut) and select 'properties' at foot of drop-down list. Then, from the 'shortcut' tab select 'advanced'. Ensure that 'Run as administrator' is NOT ticked. Save and exit This should now allow Kies: 1) to run without tripping User Account Control password entry 2) to look at the local user Outlook data files (instead of at the Administrator account Outlook data files) I have no idea why the install of Kies under non-administrator Windows user account should be set to 'Run as administrator' by default, and so lock itself to looking at the admin account's Outlook instead of the local user's However that is what was happening in my previous answer - Kies was only syncing a small sub-set of my Outlook contacts database because, unwittingly, that is all that was recorded in the Admininstrator's Outlook (which I don't use). The admin Outlook had picked up those contacts from a previous Kies sync of a Samsung feature-phone. So now that it is working with Outlook 2007 I can happily report that Kies is not too bad. It has synced all my contacts, automatically got all the mobile/home/work phone numbers and email addresses sorted into correct corresponding fields in the phone (Galaxy Note UK). Also picked up contact notes, birthdays and anniversaries. The only fly in the ointment is that home address fields are in the wrong order. Calendar entries also synced. All fairly painless once working, with the caveat about home addresses.

Don't count on it. I have Oulook 2007 and it does not work. When I first connected my brand new Galaxy Note (UK) via USB Kies I got the ICS update straight away, which was good. But Kies sync to Outlook 2007 does not work at all for me, not in a meaningful way. Again, with the phone still virgin, no contact entries yet put into the phone, I synced to Outlook via USB, expecting to get my full Outlook contact database synced into the phone. This was one of my reasons for choosing Samsung - I do not want to sync via the cloud or via Google. However, all I got was a selection of some of my Outlook contacts, only 88 out of over 360 contacts in Outlook synced to the phone. And of those, only the contact name and phone numbers copied over, no address details and only a very few email addresses. Worse still, many of the 88 entries are infact phantom duplicates (i.e. no duplicate exists in Outlook, but the contact is duplicated in the phone). None of my existing calendar entries from Outlook synced to the phone - I have selected the option in Kies. I have subsequently tried again, there is no improvement. And none of the calendar entries I have made in the phone copy over to Outlook either. I have updated Kies to the latest version, still no improvement. And to cap it all, Kies gives an error ["Object reference not set to an instance of an object" (fatal error)] when you exit the program. This error started with the previous Kies update and persists in the latest version. It was not present prior to that. Not sure if they will post this reply, although I have kept it strictly factual and free of rancour. Unless the fact that my reply relates to Outlook 2007 whereas the question relates to 2003 is relevant? Surely Kies should work properly for both?

Hey, Just a pointer that (I think) the UK model is the GT-N7000 which isn't the LTE but if you go after the North America model, SGH-i717, that has the LTE technology and has the 4G with 1.5ghz CPU instead of 1.4

Hard question to answer, but heres a little comparison. My notes lasts around 3 times longer than my iPhone 4S did. Heavy use I get a day with around 10% battery left. Light use I get 3 days. Just remember to exits apps and release the ram.

Unfortunately there is no way to give a definitive answer on this, as internet usage will vary and internet services require different levels of power. The capacity of this battery is 2500mAh.

I had an echo on an old phone which drove me crazy. Ended up being the case I had for it. If you don't have a case then your phone must be faulty as I don't get this.

This was the main reason I was put off buying the phone. I decided to bite the bullet and buy it. At first it seems big, but 1 week in you will never go back. I would only ever buy a phone of this size now. It makes the whole phone experience much better. I was waiting for the Galaxy S3, but it's not going to big enough now. Hope that helps.

    Describe the issue

    Samsung Service 2 years ago

Hi Natalie, In reply to your question, the phone is 82.95mm wide and 146.85mm high 9.65mm in diameter. It is about the standard size of a Smartphone and, as it is rather slim, it is not very bulky. We hope this information will be of some help to you.

I wanted to use Japanese language but it didn't come with my Galaxy Note. But I could download a language pack from Google App shop free, so if you haven't your desired optional languages in your Galaxy Note, it is worthwhile searching within the Google App store.

I just bought mine here in Taiwan, and I can do Chinese on it. There's a very long list of languages to choose from, so I think Chinese is probably available on the UK phones, too.

3-4 hours of charging, *note: if your seeing that the battery level is only 10% that is the time that you can charge it. ^_^ I hope it'll help you

There is no fixed amount of time needed for the first charge. When the battery is full, it will prompt you to disconnect.:)
