    Touch screen is enabled out of the box, use it all the time. I had been told that some USB legacy devices get messed up on USB 3, so that would explain why the USB 2. I use it for Mice and low level stuff, but for CD's and external drive, the USB 3 is just the ticket.

    do I get directed to a second product screen when wanting to purchase this item directly from Samsung, and when I do the option available is the earlier version with an optical drive, if I do order, which was my intention, which version will I receive? Thank You

    As I don't want to use Win 8 in my PC(NP770Z5E-S02UK) , and I want to use Win 7 instead. So when I use the USB to install the Win7 , the bios can recognize the USB ,and then I disabled the option "fast bios mode " and restart the system again, however the USB still can't be recognized, could you tell me how to set the bios so that the USB can be recognized by the system?

    This update has been going for about an hour and seems to be making very little progress. I know you should never interrupt a BIOS update, so I don't really know what to do for the best. The notice beforehand said that the mouse/keyboard would not function during the update, and that the computer would automatically restart when it was done. I am typing, so evidently this is not the case. This is my first Samsung laptop, and I've only had it for a day, so I'm unsure whether that scrolling black/blue bar is indicative of the update actually having started (See screenshot).
