How to clean the detergent drawer on a washing machine

1 Open the detergent drawer.

2 Press the release lever (1) on the inside of the detergent drawer and pull the detergent drawer out at the same time.

3 Lift the softener compartment and the liquid detergent guide (optional) to remove from the detergent drawer.

4 Rinse all parts under running water.

5 Clean the detergent drawer recess with an old toothbrush.

6 Replace the softener compartment and the liquid detergent guide (optional) by pushing them firmly into the detergent drawer.

7 Push the detergent drawer back into place.

Please note: To remove any remaining detergent, perform a rinse cycle without any laundry in the drum.

Follow the instructions below if your washer has an automatic detergent dispenser.

1 Open the detergent drawer.

2 Press the release lever (1) on the inside of the detergent drawer and pull the detergent drawer out at the same time.

3 Remove both the detergent compartment and the softener compartment.

4 Open the lids of both compartments, then fill with water and shake.

5 Use an old toothbrush or a soft brush to clean the cap valves of both compartments.

6 Rinse all parts under running water.

7 Clean the detergent drawer recess with an old toothbrush. Make sure to clean the cap valves to prevent clogging.

8 Replace the detergent compartment and the softener compartment by pushing them firmly into the detergent drawer.
9 Push the detergent drawer back into place.
