Rated 5 out of 5 by from A work horse! This is my first tablet and I love it!! I purchased it off a tv shopping channel in the summer of 2014 and use it everyday by playing games, watching videos, and surfing the web. Definitley need a SD card and highly recommend it as a first tablet. The battery has been awesome and no troubles with it what so ever after countless thousands of hours of use!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from 8 gb is laughable The 8 gb storage is so subpar for what the device actually requires that it is almost unusable. The system has "just" enough room to update itself and the Google apps that come with it. If you can get an app to download for yourself, it must be immediately moved MANUALLY to the SDcard, because there is no feature to set downloads to default to the SDcard without rooting the device. The touchscreen is not responsive, basically having to press the screen to get features to respond. So, as a fun tablet for my twins, this tablet has not worked out. We've been very disappointed, especially since we have had such great experiences with Samsung phones.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No firmware updates. OTG not supported. IT has a ton of potential. Sadly, Samsung seems to have orphaned this tab. There have been no updates since 4.4.2 Kitkat. A Lot of apps are not compatible with this tab anymore. Until Samsung sees potential in this tab ... app creators will not either. OTG is not supported either. Samsung doesn't want people jailbreaking their Tabs .. then show some support

How It Stacks Up

Battery time is based on our own laboratory measurements, and may vary depending on factors such as device settings, usage patterns and operating conditions.

* User memory is less than the total memory due to storage of the operating system and software used to operate the phones features.

** External memory may be used to store media (photos, video, and music files) but not applications.

Notice to our customers - safe battery use

If your mobile phone battery is damaged, for example if it is dented, we recommend that you stop using it immediately and replace it with a Samsung genuine battery. If a damaged battery is used, this may affect performance of the battery and in some cases cause damage or injury through overheating, fire or explosion. Examples of situations in which a battery may become damaged are: use in an excessively hot environment, dropping the battery, external pressure on the battery, pet-biting, etc. We recommend that spare batteries are kept in a hard-shell case when not in use.

You should use only Samsung genuine or approved batteries that have been specifically designed for use in Samsung products. The use of incompatible batteries, cables and chargers may not be safe to use and could cause damage to the device or external damage. Please purchase Samsung-branded batteries from reputable and approved sellers to ensure the batteries are not counterfeit.

Memory size - User memory is less than the total memory due to storage of the operating system and software used to operate the phones features.
Actual user memory will vary depending on the mobile phone operator and may change after software upgrades are performed.
