SISA is developing Digital TV products, and is playing an integral role in establishing and maintaining SAMSUNG's technical leadership in digital media. Our aim in digital media technology is to develop algorithms which enhance the picture quality of digital displays, develop core technologies for next generation digital TVs, develop digital satellite receivers and digital cable products, research new technologies related to digital information, industrial trends and technical transitions of manufactures, and set the pace with DTV standardization activities.
Our research is conducted in: (1) algorithm technology for video enhancement, signal processing and high-resolution imaging, (2) cable digital TV technology for DCR TV certification and establishment of field testing for CableCARD TV, (3) cable STB technology for satellite DirecTV Set-top box, and (4) standardization activities by representing SAMSUNG in major standards organization such as XHT-CEA and VESA along with conducting industry and market research.
