SAMSUNG Electronics makes an effort to develop environment-friendly product that minimizing an impact to environment through whole process from getting raw materials, production, transportation, usage and end-of-life disposal by adding 'environment' on function, price, quality, design that were the essence for product development.
For this process, we takes a responsibility for whole process through LCA and recycle evaluation and by operating recycling center for dealing with an efficient treatment of the waste product.

Eco labeling (type I, III)
Eco-labeling ( type I )
Eco-labeling program is an voluntary certification program to choose eco-products which use less material and energy or generate less environmental pollutant relatively among the products with same function and to award it Eco-Label. The program enable consumer to have environmental information of product and corporate to produce eco-product reflecting consumer's needs.
Eco-labeling program initially implemented in Germany in 1979, now spreads out to almost 40 countries including Japan, U.S., Canada, Nordic countries and European Union (EU). Korea Eco-labeling program has been conducted since April, 1992. This program provides consumer with opportunities to contribute environmental protection by buying eco-labeled product and corporation with opportunities to meet consumer's needs through developing eco-friendly product and technology so that realize sustainable production and consumption society.

- 2. TCO : Monitor
- TCO is a Swedish eco-label including criteria regarding energy consumption, electromagnetic fields, visual ergonomics, recyclable design and take-back programs. Most of SAMSUNG electronics’ monitors are certified with TCO and especially TCO 06 world first.
- 3. Blue Angel : Printer, MFP
- Blue Angel is a German eco-label including criteria regarding energy consumption, emissions, noise, recyclable design and take-back programs. SAMSUNG electronics’ printers are certified with Blue Angel and we try to increase the number of the qualified products.
Eco-labeling ( type III )
It is a Type III eco-labeling that marks natural resources that are thoroughly used in the whole process from collecting the resources, making
the product, consuming the product to scrapping, and environmental
effect as a number which is generated from discharged pollution
