As part of its sustainability mission, Samsung actively supports Call2Recycle, the only rechargeable battery and cell phone collection program in North America with no drop off fee. Through its participation in Call2Recycle, Samsung can offer a free and convenient program to its customers and ensure that its products’ batteries are managed in a safe and responsible manner. With a strong commitment to the highest standards of responsible collection and recycling, Call2Recycle was the first battery program to receive e-Stewards qualification from the Basel Action Network. Since 1994, with the support of companies like Samsung, Call2Recycle has diverted over 60 million pounds of rechargeable batteries from local landfills and established a network of 30,000 recycling drop-off locations.
