The TC Series cloud displays have a wide range of desktop virtualization access components built in, letting users connect to a variety of hosted cloud environments without the overhead of a PC. These components enable the most advanced client-server communication protocols such as ICA/HDX for accessing Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop, RDP/RemoteFX for accessing Microsoft Remote Desktop Services (RDS) or VMware View, Internet Explorer TCP/IP (IE) for accessing the internet. Inside a familiar Windows interface users can toggle between published Citrix applications, access a virtual desktop from their VMware server farm, or login to a corporate HR site from the local IE web browser. And with sensitive information centralized and secured in a business cloud (data center), your user environment is easier to deploy, maintain and manage while being less vulnerable to security risks.

With Windows Embedded Standard 7 (WES 7) pre-installed, you get the simplicity of a thin client with PC-like utility. Add local software requisites to drive web cams or local printers/scanners. Install unified communication software for corporate messaging, virtual meeting rooms or VoIP. Access business media on the web using local IE, even add Office viewers or browser plug-ins if needed. With all of this flexibility you can still retain the simplicity and security of a traditional thin client. For example, the software on your device can be secured in a read-only state with just a click of a button using Microsoft’s write filtering technology (EWF or FBWF). And since the primary purpose of your TC Series display is cloud access, the software image has been simplified and reduced in size. This minimizes client-side administration allowing your IT staff to spend more time optimizing business technology in the data center and less time maintaining desktop software.

Samsung’s TC Series provides the I/O connections today’s business users need. With four integrated USB 2.0 ports, users can connect a wide range of peripherals such as printers, scanners, web cams, smart card or CAC readers, wireless keyboard/mouse, headsets, etc. A DVI-I output can be used to drive a second display and expand the UI landscape for greater workforce productivity. Integrated stereo speakers offer a more complete, out-of-the-box multimedia experience while preventing unplanned costs for clunky aftermarket sound products.
