Advanced "green" backlight and edge-lit displays

Samsung’s new backlight technology uses proprietary dimming techniques and low-power LED technology to significantly cut energy usage for notebook displays and monitors. In addition, Samsung’s new ultra-slim, large-sized, edge-lit television panels not only are mercury free but consume up to 40% less power than conventional LCD TVs.
