Rated 5 out of 5Â by Myrna214 Best decision I've made! After owning an iPhone for 5 yrs, I was long overdue for a change. Seeing what the AT&T store had I was quickly drawn to the Samsung phones section. When I read the durability of this phone I knew it was mine. This phone has numerous features way beyond my previous phone. I continue to discover new features on a weekly basis due to my changing needs. All I can say is I love the decision I've made for myself, my son and my husband. We are a family of 3 new Samsung s5 active Galaxy owners. April 20, 2015

Rated 5 out of 5Â by TulsaTime Great phone This is my second Samsung Active phone. I bought the Galaxy S4 Active when it came out. I loved the phone and bought it because it was dustproof. I am a weekend woodworker and sawdust gets everywhere. I liked the sealed connectors to keep dust from the inside of my phone. My phone worked great but the front glass cracked when another phone was dropped on it and hit it just right to crack the screen from top to bottom. I found quickly that the Active phones have the LCD and digitizer glass bonded so replacing the glass is about as expensive as buying a new phone. The Galaxy S5 was out so I just bought a new one. I love the phone and it is also dustproof. The Active button on the side is nice, but rarely gets used. I wouldn't miss it if it were gone. There is one feature that I wish I could turn off. The three front buttons can still trigger the phone to turn on and display the locked screen if they are pushed when the phone should be locked and dark. This allows the phone to turn on while it is in my pocket and start dinging. This also means the screen is turned on and the battery is being drained. I only want the phone to light up with I push the side button. That is a complaint from me about that one. I still give it a 5 star rating because everything else on the phone is so good. The battery life is good, better than my old S4 Active. The display is not quite as good as the old S4 Active. The old S4 Active had a LCD display and the new S5 Active has an OLED display. The old LCD display tends to have warmer reds where the OLED display has a more yellow or orangish red. I do like the brightness on the OLED display and it is a bit more power friendly so the battery is not drained as fast. Overall there are more plusses for the S5 Active and I am enjoying owning this phone. I would, and have, recommended it to friends. February 11, 2015
