Rated 5 out of 5 by The Best Phone I've Ever Had! I've been hearing a lot of buzz about the Samsung GALAXY Mega, way before I've owned it. Anyway, down to business. I've had my Samsung GALAXY Mega since July, of 2014, and I just have to say that I love this phablet. I mainly purchased it because of its 6.3" monstrous screen size. This is the best phone I've ever owned, and it'll most likely be the only phone I need, unless Samsung decides to come out with a phone that's larger than 6.3" in diameter. There has also been a lot of negativity about this phablet because it runs similarly to the Samsung GALAXY S3's specs. The phone may have outdated specs, but it still works perfectly, and runs smoothly. All phones tend to lag, and/or run slowly, at times. That's only because of the apps, data, and other stuff which is stored onto the devices. This phablet is, and will still be one of the best phones, ever made. And for those who aren't used to larger screen size phones, this phone wouldn't be for you. The camera, for being only 8MP, is actually better than people are giving it credit for. If your pictures are coming out blurry, or whatever, maybe, try not shaking your hand so much. Not to mention, the camera has to focus on what you're wanting to take a picture of. I take a lot of photos with the camera and they all come out perfectly fine. The sound is of great quality. It's loud and clear, and crisp, also. The only downfall is that it doesn't have dual speakers. This phablet doesn't seem to have a screen of HD quality, but it does have a crisp, clear resolution to it. The colours are rich and pure, so I'd see no difference, if the screen was of HD quality. I've had a few phones with an HD screen and my current phone looks much more crisp, than my others did. Overall, the Samsung GALAXY Mega is an underrated phone. It performs just as well as most high-end phones. And for the price, it's that much more worth it. The sad part is that it's been discontinued. Hopefully, Samsung will make another installment to the Samsung GALAXY Mega series, having a successor to the second Mega. January 14, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Yaaaaah for the Mega 6.3! Although the new 5.9 Mega2 will have updated tech, I wanted the size that defines a MEGA Phablet. And since there's no 6.5 or 7.0 Mega in the near future (2014), the Mega 6.3 will have to do and glad I got one before carriers discontinued the sale of this device. My Galaxy group really hoped Samsung would introduce a true integrated Phone/Tablet in the form of a (suggested name) Galaxy MegaPro or Mega S with a 6.5 or 7.5 display - if only as an optional special order. Of course this would be for the more intelligent humans that wouldn't hold this devise to ones' ear but use a Samsung headset to answer calls or dictate a text while multi-tasking on such a Phablet. In summation, should Samsung decide to merge Phone & Tablet with a screen size of 6.5 to 7.5, I will immediately trade in my current Mega 6.3 to purchase 3 (2 to replace the media system in my vehicles) such devices even if it comes with tech second to the Note series. Being from the big state of Texas, a MegaPro or Mega S device will live up to its MEGA name!! GMegaLuver September 20, 2014
