Rated 5 out of 5 by Exactly What I Wanted I have wanted a tablet with an active stylus for a while, I have looked at a few, Surface Pro, Galaxy Note, and one from Lenovo. I finally decided on the Galaxy note after playing around with it for a while in store. As a student I wanted something I could use to study digital publications like I would paper versions. The galaxy note has delivered exactly what I wanted. I am able to import my PDF files into S-Note and use the stylus to highlight, write and draw in the documents as I would paper. I also love the multi-window capabilities of Samsung devices. On the same screen I can be studying my PDF and also have reference material opened in another portion of the screen. It also has the horsepower to do anything else you want it to do when you are not studying. Using chrome the internet loads very fast, videos play smooth, and I can even use chromecast to cast the entire screen to a TV. I would highly recommend this to any student, or anyone who likes to draw, paint, study, whatever. December 11, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great. Better than IPAD I've had an Ipad before and this thing blows it out of the water. No complaints. December 8, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Tablet......However its not perfect I am a Junior Mechanical Engineer Student at Michigan State University and I've owned this tablet for almost a year now and i really like this tablet. I prefer android over apple only because i think apple products are over priced and this tablets writing functions far exceeds apple's ability for taking notes on a tablet. The battery life on this tablet is great if your only using it for taking notes at school, if you like to watch videos between class the battery will get drained rather quickly but i can make it through an 8 hour day at school taking notes easy on one full charge. I bought this tablet with the full intention to completely get rid of using paper and pencil for taking notes, and this is where the however comes into play, the pre-loaded apps on this were not quick enough for me. Teachers talk fast and Samsungs "S Note" app takes to long to go to the next page of notes. It also only allows for a landscape style writing surface, so when you turn the tablet so its longest side is vertical you only have about half the screen to write on. Evernote is the best app i found for writing notes but I have seen much better note taking programs on my professors Toshiba lap tops. In class they will write problems out on this laptop with a version of the s pen and projects it onto a screen for the class to see and its clearly a much faster program and functions flawlessly. Yes i understand that this is a laptop I'm talking about but there has to be a way to take get that kind of note taking app onto this Samsung tablet. I also wish the the S Pen had an eraser built into it so i wouldn't have to stop writing to switch the function of the S Pen to an eraser. To sum it up this tablet has great potential for students to take electronic notes but the speed of taking notes needs to improve and a better free app needs to be out on the market before i could switch over to only taking notes on this. Love the display and to me this was the best tablet on the market last year. I'm not familiar with whats on the market right now so i cant say how great it is compared to recent releases of other tablets. Also its worth mentioning that the video player has issues on this tablet, will some times play video with out sound or there will be a glitch every few seconds in the video and audio. If this happens you have to restart the tablet. This doesn't happen very often any more but its still there. December 10, 2014
