Participate in semiconductor ASCA project

Contents
- SEC's participation in the next generation SOC process development project of SELETE, a non-profit Japanese research corporation

- purpose: to secure core process technology related to 0.1~0.07 ㎛ SOC
- size: total of 94.6billion won(95.2billion yen), two equal installment in 5 years
(dispatch researchers, joint development of process technology)
- DATE:April 2001~March 2006
- participants: total of 13 companies including SEC along with NEC, Toshiba, Hitachi, Sony, Sharp

※SELELTE is a non-profit R&D company founded by 11 Japanese semi-conductor related companies which invested 500million yen each in 1996.


Objectives
- possible to secure perpetual royalty free license and accelerate development by reducing resource usage and development period through joint-development of core process technology related to next-generation SOC
- By forming mutual business relationship with Japanese competitors to obtain information and understand the trend of the industry, SEC expects that it will lay the foundation for technological cooperation in other areas.
