SAMSUNG SDS Forges Strategic Ties with N'ser Community, and Launches Joint Overseas CTI Solutions Marketing

Samsung SDS (CEO Hong-Ki Kim) announced on May 20 that it signed a strategic partnership agreement to forge a cooperative relationship in overseas CIT (Computer Telephony Integration) solutions operations with N'ser Community (www.nser.co.kr), a domestic venture firm specializing in CTI solutions.

The strategic partnership agreement is based on joint development of overseas marketing opportunities by creating synergy between N'ser Community's CTI solutions and Samsung SDS' global marketing network.

- Samsung SDS will conduct marketing and publicity activities in overseas markets for N'ser's own NetDial, a CTI solution; iNetDial, an Internet CTI call center solution; NetShopping, an electronic commerce solution, and NetCollect, a delinquent payment management solution.

In order to increase market shares in China, Taiwan and South East Asia, regions where N'ser Community has active operations, N'ser would concentrate on developing new solutions, and Samsung SDS would focus on sales and marketing, while local sales agents would be responsible for technical support and maintenance.

On the other hand, Samsung SDS would act as a sales agent N'ser with a focus on the Internet CTI solution in new markets to optimize efficiency and speed by utilizing its strengths in global marketing network.

Samsung SDS plans to expand the strategic partnership from the current joint marketing to maximize synergy in overseas SI projects for CTI in financial and public services sectors as well as integrating them into Samsung SDS' own package solutions.

On the other hand, Joon-Hwan Choi, President of N'ser Community, expressed his confidence and said, "With the integration of Samsung SDS' advanced marketing techniques and global network, we would be able to achieve stability in the existing markets, while opening new opportunities in South East Asia."
CTI is the integration of the computer and the telephone system. It allows Internet or other information network customer management system to utilize the public telecommunications system such as the wire/wireless telephone services to be integrated with the computer system. As such, application of CTI has been increasing rapidly throughout the world in cyber banking, cyber trading, B2B, B2C electronic commerce.

CTI technology of Korean venture firms are rated as world-class, and N'ser Community, which signed the strategic partnership with Samsung SDS, constructed call centers for Daewoo Securities, Dongbu Insurance, Koram Bank, Shinhan Securities, Hyundai Multi-CAV, eGIOS. The company also signed reseller contracts for 2001 worth a total of US$3.1 million with 6 companies in China and South East Asia for CTI call center construction and sales of solutions.
