Athletes at the Olympic Village in Naganokeep in touch by using wireless communications equipment provided by Samsung.

whether it is the glory of winning a gold medal or those who simply want to feel closer to their loved ones when the going gets tough.

The Samsung Call Home Program lets athletes make a free three minute call to anywhere in the world using a specially designed Samsung digital mobile phone. Samsung will operate a dedicated Samsung Call Home Team to encourage athletes to participate in the program. All 2,450 athletes participating in the Games have been issued with a special Samsung Call Home Card, which they simply show to a member of the Samsung Call Home Team to entitle them to their free call.

Samsung director Kim Tae-Ho explained, "Samsung is the first Korean enterprise to be involved in official Olympic marketing program. Samsung - Worldwide Partner for Wireless Communications

Samsung will provide a total of 13,000 wireless communications devices to the Nagano Olympic Winter Games, including digital mobile phones, high-speed data pagers and digital radios ensuring fast, reliable service and successful operation of the Games.

In providing wireless communications equipment and systems to the Nagano and Sydney Olympic Games, Samsung aims to raise the global awareness of its wireless communications equipment.
