The Outstanding Achievement in Management Award, which is given to the executive levels of management, was designed by the IIE in respect to those of today's business world, who play a significant role as an active contributor of the industrial engineering profession: the IIE, founded in 1948, is a nonprofit international organization (members consisting of students, academia's, and those of the business and industry) established to enhance the advancements of Industrial Engineering, and also to educate the necessary leadership required in sustaining such continued level of excellence.
