Participation in SESL's Rights Offering

□ Details
- Rights offering purpose : SESL needs to raise capital to finance capacity expansion and business operation
- Rights issue amount: $55 million (KRW 65.1 billion)
· $70.2 million (before the rights offering) → $125.2 million
(after the rights offering): SEC owns 100% stake of SESL
· SEC will finance its participation in the offering with dividends paid by its other Chinese subsidiaries.
- Payment DATE: First round payment of $29.4 million (May 21, 2004), second round payment of $25.6 million (in the second half of 2004)
