SAMSUNG Demonstrates Commitment to New Healthcare Experience with Full Lineup of Products and Solutions at HIMSS 2014

Orlando, Fla. – February 24, 2014Samsung Electronics America, Inc., a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd, today reinforced its commitment to helping healthcare providers “discover the new healthcare experience” at the HIMSS Annual Conference & Exhibition at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. Product specialists will be on hand all week at the Samsung booth (#503) demonstrating a full range of information technology solutions focused on three themes: mobility, patient experience and connected healthcare.

The Samsung booth will host:

  • A full line of healthcare information access points for healthcare providers including Samsung Zero Client Monitors and Stands, the Samsung ATIV Book 9 Plus, as well as Android-powered GALAXY tablets including the new Galaxy Note Pro.
  • Printing solutions that are designed to improve administrative efficiencies and security while supporting mobility.
  • High-quality, ergonomic LED monitors that help save desk space and energy costs.
  • Commercial large-format displays, including streamlined digital signage solutions and interactive whiteboards that enable healthcare providers to scale dynamic communications to better engage with their patients and staff.

    Samsung will showcase how innovation in mobility can allow more efficient communication with patients, smarter workflows for providers, and maximize readiness and adaptability in the healthcare setting. A full range of Samsung mobile devices, including Samsung Galaxy smartphones, Galaxy Tab and Note Pro tablets, combined with partner solutions allows providers to store and quickly retrieve patient information from the EHR.

    Samsung KNOX, Samsung’s best-in-class secure enterprise mobile platform, provides comprehensive data protection and powerful device management capabilities.

    Patient Experience
    Samsung’s commercial display solutions are a core component to improving the patient experience. Hospitals can display content in waiting rooms, nurses boards and queues. Additionally, patients can check in and securely access and update their medical records. The Samsung booth will feature a Smart TV that enables video conferencing, Samsung’s interactive whiteboard solution and the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 tablet.

    Connected Healthcare
    Empowering patients to take ownership of their personal health is critical to improving health outcomes. Samsung is committed to supporting providers to manage patients outside of the hospital and to give patients the capability to use home devices as part of that health management. The Samsung booth will demonstrate Remote Monitoring Devices, such as a glucometer and blood pressure cuff, that connect to personal mobile devices and offer a glimpse into how connected healthcare can improve patient outcomes, reduce costs, and help expand access to care.
