SAMSUNG Appoints Dan Schinasi To Senior Marketing Manager for Projection TV in the Visual Display Products Group

Ridgefield Park, NJ - Samsung Electronics America, an established leader and innovator in the HDTV arena, announces the addition of Dan Schinasi to its Visual Display Products Group as Senior Marketing Manager for Projection TV. Schinasi will be responsible for overseeing Samsung's award-winning DLP TV category. Dan is taking over the role from Samsung's 10 year veteran, Steve Panosian who was recently appointed as Director of Marketing for Samsung's digital set top box products.
"With over 16 years of work experience in the electronics industry, Dan is a seasoned expert who has had great success driving strategic and tactical initiatives across product planning and management, product and channel marketing, sales and business development," comments Jim Sanduski, Vice President, Visual Display Product Marketing, Samsung Electronics. "His extensive knowledge and experience with both DLP and LCD-based projection systems will bring an integral amount of expertise to Samsung. His product planning and technical background will serve him well in his new position in charge of the projection TV marketing at Samsung."
Prior to joining Samsung, Dan was the Senior Manager for product planning at Sharp Electronics where he was in charge of their front projector business in the professional products group. Before that he was a product manager for the instrument systems division at Minolta Corporation.
